Hola, como esta?
Hello dreamers,
First post. I am new to dreaming and never been much of an active dreamer in my previous years. Though I am fascinated by dreaming and lucid dreaming.
Ive been practicing reality checks pretty regularly for the past month thanks to a program called "Sleep check reminder" for my droid.
I have had a break through the other night with my second and third lucid dreams. However it lasted only a second and also comprised of 6 false awakenings, hahaha.
I still have very poor dream recall and I am hardly able to remember one dream a night if I am lucky.
buenos noches

Hola, pharmako. Bienvenidos a Dream Views!
Hopefully, we can help mold you into a more active dreamer, and do something about that lack of dream recall. I have "sleep check reminder" on my droid as well. :>
The best advice I can give you, to begin, is to start up a dream journal. Feel free to browse the tutorials and threads (use the search option to check for specific items that may have already been discussed). Other than that, don't hesitate to ask around, if you have any other questions.
Enjoy your stay!

Thank you for the welcome! I think the most important thing I have learned from browsing this website is one needs to maintain a constant awareness about dreaming thoughout the entire day. That takes a lot of discpline and practice and I do not believe it will come easily

Well 'difficulty' is a state of mind.
I'm not the most disciplined person in the world, though, so I can relate. Just try not to think about it as some great and difficult task that you are undertaking. Just think of it as a hobby. Have fun with it. One thing that people will tell you is that; those who really obsess over it and are overly anxious about becoming lucid, often end up burning themselves out. And then it's not until then that they relax, stop putting so much effort into it, and then they end up having their first LD almost 'by accident.'

Hey, how am I supposed to.use the "fixed length" option in the droid app? I am thinking of setting the random option during the day with the knocking sound to condition myself to reality check everytime I hear it. Then set the fixed length at night so when and if I hear it while dreaming I will hopefuly do a reality check. Is that a sound theory?

I'm not too sure, actually. I just got it a couple of days ago, and right now it's on random (or whatever the original setting was). I'll have to play around with it a bit. I tried figuring out the fixed length thing, when I first got it, but didn't quite get it. Lol.
