Did I nearly WILD?
Hi all,
I've been a lurker here for quite a while, with no actual possible input to give I held off posting... until now! :)
I have been trying to WILD for a while, and the other morning I think I came close?.. I'll explain.
I went to sleep at night as usual, I woke myself up around 6 hours after I went to sleep, I got up went to the toilet.. got back in bed and tried to let sleep paralasys do its thang.
I lay perfectly still keeping my mind solely on my own breathing, trying to keep all other thoughts out, and all of a sudden I felt a "wave" come over me. My legs felt totally numb and, well I suppose my whole body did really.
I was just trying to remain as calm as I could because I had never felt this before, to cut a long story short..
I didnt really know what to do at this point as I just lay there and waited. And all of a sudden i could see.. a newspaper lol. It sounds strange but yeh.. nothing but blackness and a newpaper.
I thought "oh damn, I can see a newspaper!" and got a bit excited...
...and then it went. And that was the end of it all lol.
Maybe I nearly WILD'd? I dont think I did.. but I have never experienced that numbness or floating newspaper (lol) before.

Congrats on your first post.
Yes you did WILD, with WILD your body is not totally asleep so excitement or sudden movement can wake you up.
Staying as calm as possible when the dream images come will help in this. Maybe reading the paper would have been a good idea.
That wave and numbness was SP (Sleep paralysis). It does occur to most people attempting a WILD.
