How do you bring back the vision when the dream faded and you already feel your body?

Hi there fellow dreamers! I got into lucid dreaming last month and DV have been a great help so far, so now, after becoming a member I’m eager to know more

I had 6 LD’s so far and they all ended pretty much in the same fashion – I lost awareness and dream just went to be non-lucid and then faded. But the thing is – I see “the black”, I know I’m awake, but the dream is still going on, just without vision and with me feeling all the heaviness of my body lying in bed. I hear everything etc, like probably a half-dream? I’ve read that it’s better just not to open eyes and I can turn back into the dream, but it never happens.

Also all the things connected with concentrating on my dream body like spinning and other work great in my lucids just right until the moment I have this dream body. It’s kind of hard to try rubbing hands or whatever when you already can move them and toss the pillow
Maybe there is something else I can try on this step?

By the way, did you seem to be in hurry in your first lucids? I just can’t bring myself not to hurry, because I think that I must not waste my precious lucid time, feels kind of stupid when I wake up and realize that I, indeed, had just wasted it

Hi! When you start to feel your body, you should set your mind on DEILD'ing right away. Give the lucid a chance to stabilize by activating your senses, but if it's too hard then just give up. Don't move when you exit the dream, and just wait for the next one to appear It can take up to a minute, but you should be thrown into another dream if you do this. False Awakenings are VERY common here, and I'm fooled all the time. Just set your mind on doing a RC first thing you see or do anything at all.

Yes, my first induced lucids were very short and I felt like I had to rush things to get on with what I wanted to do right away. In time you'll learn to relax and you'll start to notice that you get even more time over when doing so. You've had 6 LD's in a month. That's amazing work! Don't worry about time, you've got time.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

      Keep on dreaming!

So DIELD is helpful for those who tend to wake up a lot at night, I guess, then I should concentrate on this one. It's interesting how before I found out about lucid dreaming I rarely noticed this night awakenings - now I wake up quite a few times at night, maybe because I use autosuggestion about "remembering my dreams" every time I go to bed - I can almost always recall the dream after that. Noticing that I'm awake is not that hard, but not moving...
Thanks a lot, I will definitely give it a try
