How to stop having lucid dreams

I almost went into dream mode almost the instant I closes my eyes..
I can remember main parts of the adventures I had in my dreams (is this called lucid?)
And the dreams I had were like the combination of my fears, wonders, hopes, doubts and disbeliefs. (Even if it was jus a tiny thought I had - it could probably also be part of my dreams)
And waking up having headaches. Pls I need suggestions or solutions to stop having these dreams. I've alrdy forgotten the feel of closing and opening of eyes feelin fresh in the morn..it must be great though. and I want that feeling back.
So pls help.
And there's this another thing..
I'll wake in the presence of little light or sound (in the morn)
...Thats when I'll get the most headache (interrupted dreams)
There's the 'Wuuaaah!' nerve pullin sensation of confusion, pulling my mind frm dream to reality.
Ha so I'm gettin ear plugs soon.

Its not lucid unless you realize that you are dreaming in the actual dream.

One suggestion would be to do the opposite of a MILD?
Fall asleep continuously thinking, I will not remember any dreams tonight..
When you wake up, try to get up as quickly as possible. Don't just sit and sulk.
The quicker you get the engine going, the quicker the dreams leave.

Its hard. I tried before. But it naturally brings me there, without me having to think anything.
And yes. I do know that I'm dreaming ~obviously, well
I can't stand immediately I wake. I'll fall. Its..kindda dizzy when I woke up.
Its like> Night close eye-dream all the way which felt like forever-Morn eyes open
It gets harder when I wake when its noisy. GUARANTEE BIG HEADACHE throughout the day.
The pulling sensation was scary. I often scream out (not that loud, but still its loud such as whole living room can hear) in the process.
And they think I'm crazy.

And Here.. .. ..I, realise how come people here LIKE or even WANT lucid dreams, when I'm trying to get rid of it.
And therefore had thousands of questions swimming in my head.

That isn't a lucid, and the problem sounds like you get in SP every time you wake up, which means you got a sleep disorder, I would tell the problem to a doctor, since it isn't normal to have headaches after waking up. And you dream several times a day whether you remember it or not, so the headaches won't leave despite your dreams being forgotten. If at all, the disorder might be boosting your recall, which is why you are tying it with LDing.

You sure? I even told myself that 'Ok I'm dreaming again' and that 'nevermind, I won't die even if I got shot or jump down the building' and I did.
And therefore I'm almost fearless in my dream.
Its jus the effect it has on me. (and whats SP?)
And it felt like I never really slept throughout the night, just travelling big time somewhere and dealing with those situations.
I never had once fully forgotten dream, and..I can't sleep anytime except for night (brain too active, and those daylight..)

Well, didn't your headache start along with that? Also, saying doesn't equal understanding, though if you do understand it, then you were lucid. One way or the other, the LD is not the problem, since so many people have them without any kind of headache. I believe it must be a sleep disorder that you must talk to with a professional. Remember, the problem is the disorder, the side effect is recall/LDing, kinda how some people get a stomach disease and as a side effect, you start getting hot, being hot isn't the real problem, but the disease.

Then what if it was this situation that says:
Someone precious to you was in trouble and you had to think of all ways to help him/her.
And yet you were in an environment that was not familiar.
You were trying hard plotting here and there, fighting troubles and all..
And when you wake up, you will obviously feel mentally tired like as if you had just fought a war.
It make sense though..No?
I hate it when I'm scheeming half way and some noise 'drag me back to earth', and my goal was unaccomplished
(which was often the case)
And its as if I can chose Not to react to my dreams in the 1st place..

I suggest you learn dream control, and realise that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING in your dreams can be controlled by you. Next time, free the person someone's holding captive, with a snap of your fingers and have an adventure with that person.

Well, considering dream-fights and plots make me feel more refreshed instead of tired, can't really be there with you. I'm always fighting, so someone in trouble would resume to teleportation, eating the enemy and/or using claws/blood as weapon, and problem solved.

Well, I believe that in dreams..there's still this kinda Order around.
You can't have everything going our way, if your mind and normal life is normal thats it.
The destination of my dreams, normally, takes place on an earthly like place.
I can do teleportation all that, but there's a limit.
I can't have me teleport all the way to the root of problems, it only brings me to the branches.
Which means i have to find my way in. Which is tiring. Thats the way life is infact.

It really felt like really killing someone in real, who doesn't possess the ability to harm me -->innocent

Ah, but my dreams do have rules, I can't do anything I wish to, I had to train myself HARD to be able to use my powers, if I die in a dream, it will be like dying in reality, I will lose everything I once had. I do every night, but as I said, I believe the tiredness you get is not from the lucid dreams, but from whatever it is that started causing them (The disorder as I called it earlier). Only times when I do get tired from lucids, is when I play with time, so evade doing that.

And what cld probably started it? I got tired only after lucid -to wateva thats causing it- An over active brain that doesn't want to rest?? That, I heard a 1000 times.

Nah, it could easily be an hormone, since you are 17 it makes sense. But of course, a professional is more qualified to tell you the real cause.

Nop, IF it is a hormone, then the problem is the hormone, it just so happens that this one hormone makes you lucid and boosts your recall. Like, um... lets say that someone with cancer in their brain can suddenly use telekinesis, they have huge headaches and attribute it to the telekinesis, but the real problem is the cancer, then if they remove the cancer (Hormone) the headache will go away, and since the cancer was the source of the telekinesis (LD), then the telekinesis will go away too.

So you could have telekinesis (LD) without headaches, but for that it needs to not come from a problem like cancer (hormone).

You need to see a doctor, that sounds like a health problem to me. The sudden onset of lucid dreams every night could be related to your condition. Whenever I go straight from being awake to entering a dream, I usually wake up after the dream very rested and relaxed, so I doubt it's the heightened mental activity from lucidity that's causing your headaches.

Yeh. Finally some answers fit. Considering I Particated (this word) a lot in dreams shows how info. from dreams find their way to my brain and make me answer it. Maybe thats where my headaches come from. Then how come I'm the only one? Didn't you all get to do whatever u all wanted in yr dreams too? And do u really think going to doctors..they'll take what i say seriously? Abt dreams? They don't understand. And this has nth to do with my Health -got a check up already- they concluded nth.

Although I am unable to read most of your posts because of your excessive use of abbreviations, from what I can tell, you should see a doctor. I've never felt like time was slower in my dreams than in real life, it usually feels super fast.

lucid dreams should have the same effect on you as regular dreams. people have dreams every night, and remembering them, or thinking hard should not cause tiredness or headache. take the advice of the people above and see a doctor, it is not the fault of the dream. i dont know exactly what your saying sometimes, the posts are worded strangly to me, but a regular check up probably wouldnt be looking for sleep/psychological/hormonal or whatever problem you have, usually they are for physical things. the doctor will take you seriously, its their job and they dont laugh at patients usually, tell them the symptoms including that you are aware you are dreaming.

Dream of course will feel faster than reality. lol. And, I'm positive that my tiredness is because of the way i lucid dream, compared to mostly ppl as mine was natural, i did not force it to happen.
But firstly of all, have you all ever imagine entering lucid without doing or thinking abt anything not the slightiest effort at all? If not, how would you ever know the effects of that compared to the way you all create it?
And the fact was that i did see doctor specialise for brains, and they have no solutions to the way i dream. Mostly say that 'i think too much' or because of 'stress caused frm school' which did no help at all.

Simple, I know several people who lucid naturally. One who has been doing so for nearly all her life, and has no headache problems. And you need new doctors, then <.<

MY gosh, I'm soooo jealous of you. I struggle and struggle to become lucid and it never happens.

...no, I can't be God in my dreams lol and I'll never try to be one.
But I do have strange abilities in my dreams especially when in desperate need. (teleportation-short distance, flying-limited height, running as fast as car..etc.)
Here are some examples of my dream's layout.

Last last night, I had double layer dream, means I have to wake 2 times. When I met a serious problem at the 2nd layer dream, I forced myself out of that scene and to wake on the 1st layer. And when I felt it was safe enough, I went back to the 2nd layer to investigate furthur. lol weird, leaving me tired in the morning.

While last night, I completed my whatever mission that is for the night, and resolved to waking in dreams and shocking to reality.
Means, I woke up from my 2nd layer dream (have mission-finally completed and forgotten due to shock) and went to 1st layer dream (no mission-location: in my living room feeling calm and peaceful as my senses slowly wake me)
and suddenly "^%#$%#&!!" my grandma shouted on the phone...and the image of me standing in my living room shattered, leaving me Super confused.

Arh! See? I've never gotten any real nice sleep at night without lucid dreams. As for getting new doctors, my parents say waste money..'think too much my prob'

Well, you said that we can't understand since we aren't natural, so that should solve that last part of doubt, right? I mean, if other naturals don't have the headache problem, it should be proof enough that lucidity itself isn't the problem.

Dreams have nothing to do with being tired. You can have the biggest adventure of your life and wake up feeling great. What you are describing are not lucid dreams. From what i understand from your post anyway. Lucid dreams are were you are aware that you are dreaming. And if you are aware you should be able to handle the dream and have great adventures.

Also what i think is happening is that your having sleep paralysis in the morning. Although everyone has SP at night that keep them from acting out there dreams. You should not be waking up and still in sleep paralysis every morning. Its happened to me a few times and thats normal, but if its every morning you should see a professional because you probably have some sort of sleeping disorder.

Well I did handle my dreams all the time and have great adventures. There are lots to discover and venture in those foreign worlds in my dreams, each accompanying with missions..but, its just tiring..or I would've liked it.
And its just like..like..you all are using some other source of energy to help lucid, however..it seems that I'm directly using my mental energy to do it.

SP is sleep paralysis. Everyone has it at night so that they are paralyzed and can't act out there dreams. Click the link in my signature for more info.

It seems that you are having effects of that in the morning.

Since nobodyy seemed to answer your earlier question at the top of this thread...... I will attempt to do so. Though i have not to my knowledge experienced a Lucid dream, i have done much much reading on the subject and i assure you the dreams your are having however strenuous are not the cause of your headaches. More than likely your headaches are the result of SP otherwise known as Sleep Paralysis. It occurs when suddenly jarred from sleep to conscienceness while in the middle of REM cycle sleep. It can also occur if the REM cycle last abnormally long and the body has trouble re-engaging the Neurons that power the Voluntary nervous system. Either way the person generally experiences some slight anxiety and or a fear because their muscles and other functions do not operate normally for a period of time after they awake. If you ARE experiencing sleep paralysis then i suggest you contact a sleep doctor for suggestions. Or at least ask a sleep doctor if you need tests run. A regular MD or physician will not be able to help with the condition. If the uncomfortableness of Sleep Paralysis causes stress to you in the early morning or upon waking then the stresss could be the cause of the headaches as when stressed the body tends to tense up and unstretched muscles that tense quickly, as in being startled by a noise of some sort, Have a tendency to hurt worse than muscles that have had time to be used after waking up. I hope this helped. Just understand that the dreams themselves are not the cause of headaches. If your Lucid dreams are confrontational and fighting in nature then it is because your own mind is using those scenarios to act out some innner feealing or some action that your conscience mind prohibits you from doing in the Waking world either because of your morals or creed. The reson for your headaches lies in a Physical condition in the waking world. Scientific fact that all pain is caused by a PHYSICAL reaction to stimuli. So the non physical and phsycological aspect of the dream would not be the cause of your pain.

Not everyone needs methods to LD, just most people. There are several naturals over DV (And none of them presents the headaches), I still insist that you need a new doctor.

Well, uh... didn't want to bring this earlier, but, my sister went through a time of having lucids out of the blue along with headaches. At around that time, she had some food problems, and she was also in her period, so yeah... thats why I believe the problem is hormonal <.<

You can say my level of Lucidity is quite high in my dreams.
And I can only remember dreams, if I think about it when I wake
but it causes headache as well, so I don't usually recall a lot..just some main points is enough (better than none)

Not that I know, she does have them from time to time, but not regularly. The only time she did have them a lot, was around that time, but hasn't presented ever since.

Ah! And I just remembered something.
I can complete my dream partly is because:
I woke up from the noise, and thankfully went back to the same dream.
I don't think this happens frequently to those who willed themselves to LD.

I don't have LDs every night like you do, but I will often become lucid without putting effort into it. Whenever I left this site, I completely stopped practicing LDs, didn't keep a journal, didn't RC, or even try to LD and I still would have anywhere from about 6-12 LDs a month. Which isn't as much as you, of course, but it many people become lucid for no reason. I also used to have LDs as a child...before I even knew what they were. I would just randomly know I was dreaming and would go around trying to tell other people that we were. I didn't understand what all I could do then, but I knew I was dreaming. I practice and train for LDs mainly to try and increase the frequency of them, as well as the length. I have never experienced headaches from the dreams, but I have felt tired before. Like Walms stated, I was messing around with time and I think that is what caused it.

You were asking about how an entire world can be created like in dreams. It really goes to show just how powerful the human brain is. The classic saying is, "Humans only use 10% of their brains." or whatever, but in lucid dreams...its like you are tapping into that brain power. Not only is your brain creating a whole new world, but at the same time it is also regulating your actual body. Keeping organs pumping, and keeping you alive, etc. If someone were ever to unlock the full potential of the brain...they would probably rule the world, lol. I mean, all the elements to create fire are found in your body...so if you could use your brain to combine those elements and move them to the tips of your finger...you could really shoot fire from your hands. Shit like that...its kind of crazy when you think about it. The brain is very powerful.

What I encountered matches non of the Luciders down here so far, even some of the Naturals.
I wanted to try solving this WITHOUT seeing a doctor, or I wouldn't be here.

I had History of Fits when I'm young..and..I'm taking long term medicine (though I didn't really take it everyday :cheeky:).
I see a Neuroscience doctor annually.
I'll get migrane if under strong sun too long (Max 5mins) or after hard concentration on something.
But mostly I'm mentally exhausted from the start of the day-morn, when I awoke from all those dreams which, again, felt like I've never rested throughout the night,
which made sense mostly, since I've been 'travelling' in another world, created by my mind,
which I had learnt from this Site its called, WILD, awareness from the start,
with a little confusion when double checking whether is dream or reality, so I can act acordingly, to know whats possible,and impossible.
And its impossible for me to 'sleep' anytime except night, as there's too much light.
And reading a book is like watching a movie to me. No difference. I read, they play in my mind.

Arh had one of the worst LD last night.. 4 scenes in total, 1 after another.
I can remember the all the details, and what I (sometimes sub-conscious) am doing.
I hate the last 1..kept running, followed by watching myself kill someone..arh..forget it.
When I woke up I actually felt like crying~ And once again, all that felt real.

I watched Inception 2 days ago. Its intereting alright but..I find that many of the occurances inside, is not possible.
You don't wake up when others kill you and feel pain..Most unlikely for multiple people linking up to 1dream.
And about the RC thing (finally knew what you all meant..in Inception it's the spinning top)....how can you all not know when you are dreaming? It's should be obvious, when you try/attempt to do something.
Very confusing storyline. Especially about the one extracting information from your dream and meeting up with your whatever gf inside.
From there..I can roughly get what most people here is trying to do..

After the course (currently doing preparations for advance course to further understand what's wrong with me), I realize that the problem I have is somewhat linked to my neck and back. I too realize that Meditating before sleep every night as an attempt to calm my over-active mind....only made my dream clearer to me =_=.. only the treatment after waking helped a bit.

Also, for most people the logic part of the brain shuts down while asleep, so a thing as "obvious" does not exist for them.
And don't worry, inception is a fiction movie, so there should be not possible things in there.
