Hi, I'm brand new
Just introducing myself...
I've had vivid dreams for a long time but only recently thought of keeping a dream journal. I had been keeping it about a week before stumbling onto this.
I just want to see what people think of dreams and their experiences. I have a very scientific mind, which is perhaps why I am here.
I'd say about 80% of the dreams I remember ar vivid and I can remember lots of detail about them. Lucid dreaming has, as of yet, eluded me, but I'm new to the practice.

Welcome to DV ;)
I'm sure you'll get a lucid dream soon, especially since you can remember your dreams and they are pretty vivid. Make sure to check out the tutorials section on the site and don't hesitate to ask questions if you get confused about anything :)

Welcome :)
I was also brought here out of interest for the science of dreams.. To be honest not much "dream science" comes up a lot. But there's lots on sleep and a few good theories of dreams and their nature here. If you already have good recall and vividness than I would suggest you jump right in. An often overlooked method is the MILD. There's a good guide here --> http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/lucid-...-woman-107846/
Also if you're really interested in LDing than I would recommend Dr. Stephen LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" book. It's awesome and LaBerge is one of the first to really scientifically study lucid dreaming (Stanford University I think).
Good luck!

Welcome. DV's an amazing web, with lots of LDream Seekers (just my opposite) and some others. Just when I thought I was alone having such tiring dreams everyday...
