Hearing music
Hello, I have never been here before, so I hope you don't think I'm "abusing" this forum for my own good. I found this site via google, while I was googling about what happens to me right before I go to sleep.
Anyway, a few days a week, maybe 3-5, I hear this incredible, intense music right before I go to sleep. Sometimes it's pure instrumental music, and other times I hear vocals along with the music. This is music I have never heard before, but it is wonderful. But when I focus on the music, it stops. And it doesn't come back. Sometimes, it can get very "loud", and it's like pressure building up inside my head, so I have to make it stop. Usually I try not to focus on it, but it is impossible, so I hear it only for 10-20 seconds or so.
Does this happen to anybody else?
Do you have any tips on how I can remember these songs/melodies? Because when I have lost them, they are gone forever. And it is such incredible music it's almost scary.
I'm really sorry if this is the wrong section of the forum, but I'm in a hurry.
Any response is appreciated.

I've came across the music phenomena as well. In one of my first lucid dreams I became lucid because of the marvelous music. I've also heard it while in the in-between states of sleep - such as when you are waking up or falling asleep, or in the trance state (mind-awake, body-asleep). Very interesting stuff. I wish I experienced it more.

Yep. I haven't had a lucid dream yet, but I almost always hear music when I WILD.
I am very grateful when I hear music during WILD, because other times I hear disturbing sounds.

Wow, just heard the music this morning. Right after I "woke up" (obviously I will still in trance) I hear guitar chords. I cleared my mind and the chords continued, and then BAM heavy vibrations roared across my body. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to convert this to an OBE.

Great to see others experiencing the same thing.
Severomorsk, what is WILD? I'm really new to this.
c0sm0nautt, for how long did you hear the music? How did you make the chords last when clearing your mind?
Is it possible to controll this? The brain is really a wonderful piece of art. And what is an OBE?
Thanks for your reply!

WILD = wake induced lucid dream. OBE = out-of-body experience
Both are pretty much two ways of saying the same thing. The areas you end up differ in subjectivity and objectivity, but I'm sure most people confuse the two anyway. There are different locations in the non-physical... the one we recount most of our nightly dream are purely subjective. But you can also visit more objective locations where you can communicate with other entities.
IN both a WILD and consciously induced OBE one maintains waking consciousness as their perception changes from the physical to non-physical. Picture yourself laying in bed, allowing your body to relax, while your mind stays awake and your consciousness transfers right into a lucid non-physical experience.
I hope I didn't confuse you more hehe. It's not letting my post links, but I will PM you some good articles which will clear this up.
Good luck!

In relation to music, I can and do have music I like replay in my head during the day. In fact, this is how I became lucid in the only LD I've had so far. I started playing music in my head and it came on over the loudspeaker in dreamland.
