Whats up everyone?
Greetings:)
This is my first post here. I have had 3 lucid dreams since I started attempting them about 2 months ago, but they don't seem to last very long. My first lucid dream, which was my longest, lasted about 1 minute and the other 2 lasted only for about 5 seconds.
Any tips on how I can get my dreams to last longer?

It depends on how far you are into the REM cycle all ready, I'm assuming you did a DILD? When you had the 5 second one did the dream collapse on you are did you just lose lucidity? A lot of beginners will get excited after becoming lucid and that'll cause the dream to end on them. You really have to stay calm and focused.
Also, welcome to the forum :D

Welcome to DreamViews! Any time you become lucid, I suggest immediately performing some stabilization techniques. Even if the dream seems pretty vivid, perform a few of these and it should help prolong your dreams. A lot of beginners will become lucid and then haul ass to do something before they wake up. This can actually cause you to wake up. Try to keep your emotions in check and take your time. Get familiar and comfortable with the entire lucid dreaming experience. You will spend many, many more hours of your life dreaming. No need to rush things now.
