New here and a couple of questions

Hi, just found this forum and was very glad to join it. I've kept a dream journal for the last 3 years and lucid dreams are ever so slightly becoming more frequent, though I barely have one in a month. Hopefully the info on this forum will help!

So, the questions - many times when I've got lucid there's some entity that appears and attacks me. When it gets ahold of me there's an 'electric shock' feeling and I lose lucidity. What is this and is it preventable?

The other is probably easily found on this site but I'll ask anyway... how do you increase frequency of lucid dreams?

I actually have had the same sort of entity experience. Now, the difference between me and you is I can "block" these attacks...the entity that attacked me had a hood on and a scythe weapon. I blocked its attack and was able to return to my lucid dream. This has only once happened to me, however, so I feel he will not be back...

A technique to help you with your entity is to "believe" you can block this entity. If you dont believe you can "block" it then it will continue to haunt you.

Most likely what has happened, is this entity appeared in one of your early lucids and attacked you. Your adrenaline probably ramped up the first time this happened and it kicked you from the dream. Now, whenever you become lucid, you worry/expect/think about this entity returning. This alone can cause this entity to return in your dream. If you expect his attack to wake you up, then it will. Like Icy suggested, try to block the attack or simply attack the entity and destroy it. Remember that you can be all powerful in your dreams. Have confidence and you will not lose this fight ;)! Once you defeat him, I don't he will show his face around anymore...unless he wants you to take care of him once again ;)! Good luck!
