newbie!
Hello everyone! I'm new to LD however, I've always had very complex, long, and detailed dreams. I can vaguely recall knowing I was in a dream once but never happened again. I'm hoping this site will provide some advice and pointers and I'd be glad to input whatever helpful info I can :)

Welcome to DV!
You should check out the tutorial section (linked below) and read up on the different techniques that are available. It sounds like you already have good recall, but keeping a dream journal can improve it further, as well as help identify dream signs, which can help you become lucid. Learning the basics of the sleep cycle will also help you in understanding how lucid techniques work, so that you can modify or develop your own style that may work better for you. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, there's plenty of people here willing to help you out.

If you look in the wiki you will find many great tutorials. With beginners I suggest either MILD or DILD. Mnemonically induced lucid dreams, and dream induced lucid dreams.
