Newbie Questions!
Hey everyone, I tried reading the posts and tutorials on Lucid Dreams, and sometimes other dream journals and I'm slightly confused. Every other sentence someone uses some acronym like FA, or LD, VILD, FILD, WILD, DEILD, DILD, RC, and a bunch more. what do they exactly mean? and are there any other ones???

Before this thread is over someone will refer you to the manuals on this site. But, as a quick reference:
LD = Lucid Dream
?ILD = ????? Induced Lucid Dream; For instance:
WILD = Wake Induced Lucid Dream - Someone goes from an awake state into a dream state.
FILD = Finger Induced Lucid Dream... Right? One uses their finger to determine whether or not they are dreaming.
DILD = Dream Induced Lucid Dream... I think? lol One uses one dream state to enter into a lucid dream state.
I don't really know all of the the acronyms for the different ways to induce lucid dreams.
RC = Reality Check. I always perform one before using the restroom, to make sure I'm not dreaming.
FA... *shrug*
DC = Dream Character. Someone in your dream
SP = Sleep Paralysis. A state between sleep and awake when your body is paralyzed. It happens when you dabble in these sorts of things.
OBE = Out of Body Experience
WBTB = Wake, back to bed. My favorite way of inducing lucid dreams, which involves waking up in the morning, and then WILD.

FA - False awakening. When one dreams they have woken up, but are actually still asleep.
