What Should I Try Next?
Hey everyone,
I just started trying to have lucidity about two weeks ago. Lately I have been trying a mixture of the WILD and WBTB method, with unfortunately no success yet. I have been trying every night however I started keeping the dream journal only about two days ago and last night was the most "vivid" dreams I have had for a while, but in them I have failed to realize that I was dreaming and wasted my chance to control it. I have been doing hundreds of reality checks every day. Why am I not doing them in my dreams? Is there any other way I can help myself realize when I am dreaming??
Thanks

Hello vinchinator. :)
You say that you're doing 'hundreds of reality checks' every day. Are you really questioning whether or not you're in a dream? You need to literally question your surroundings, don't RC for the sake of it. Ask your self 'am I dreaming?', take a few minutes to observe your surroundings (are they unnatural?) and try to remember what's happened in the last five minutes. Usually your memory is non existent in dreams, or at least that's what I've heard. If you can't remember anything, RC, and you should become lucid.
It's better to do 10 of these 'real' checks than 100 ones that you're doing for the sake of doing it.
PM me if you have any questions and good luck. :)

Thanks Candlelight!
I understand what you mean by actually "questioning my reality" vs. just doing one of the reality checks. I'll start doing that for sure and see if it helps!

And also, question your reality is easier and a lot more discreet so no one will notice it when you are doing that!
