Hello!
Hello everyone!
Its lovely to be here! I think its about time that I find people I can talk to about my dreaming. I'm sure a lot of you, much like me, may have tried talking to our friends about this and discovered rolling eyes or utter confusion, and it would be lovely to meet some people I can share my experiences and hopefully gain some advice with!
I have been dream journalling off on and on for about a year and a half now. In this time I have had around 20 lucid dreams, some have been deeper and longer than others whereas some have lasted a few seconds. However, its been about 8 months since I've had my last LD, despite journalling constantly.
Before, I could come to the realisation of a dream, mainly by noticing that the dream is recurring. Lucidity tended to "bite" at that moment and I could snap out of the dream, enjoy it, fly away or whatever. However, lately I have noticed that the dream has repeated, and even within the dream, been able to predict exactly what is going to happen, what each character is going to say how each character is going to move, etc. etc.
I'm sure this is just a phase that I will break out of eventually, but it can be infuriating some mornings!
Sorry to go off on such a strange tangent there! Just felt I had to get it off my chest hehe.
I really hope to make some friends here, pick up some new techniques and maybe eventually share some of my happier dreams :)
*hugs*

Well use these "repetetive" terms as a dream sign, then when you become lucid do something different, think during the day what you want to do during the LD. Constantly think of your dream signs and if u see them in real life do a reality check too, thats the best way to help DILD's.
Good luck on LD'ing

Welcome to DreamViews! If you want to check out some of the other techniques and methods, check out the DreamViews Wiki. Like lucy stated, try and use this repeating dream as a dream sign. Next time events repeat and you get deja vu. perform a RC. If you find yourself predicting events and knowing things before they happen, perform a RC. Any time you get deja vu in waking life, perform a RC. Also, any time you predict something in real life (whether it be a response or action or whatnot) perform a RC. Also, make sure that you don't just go through the motions when you perform a RC. Take moment to look around at your environment and imagine that you are within a dream. Now perform your RC and see if you are dreaming. The idea is if you can question reality in waking life, you will do the same in the dream state. Good luck to you and if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
