About To Give Up
Well, I have been trying to Lucid Dream for about a month now... I have gotten close, but not quite there. I am on the verge of just giving up. My dreams were more vivid and I had a decent amount of dreams. I made a Dream Journal and it helped me a good bit. Then one day I woke up and didn't have a dream for about 4 days, ever since that, my dreams have only been fragments that I remember or I remember nothing at all. I tried using B6, nothing seemed to help me.
Any convincing things to say to me so I will have a reason to keep trying? Sometimes I even question the existence that you can truly control your dreams at all.
Otherwise, it was a good attempt and learned a few things on the adventure.

We all encounter dry-spells every now and then, but it's nothing to get discouraged about. If anything, it could be because of stress and if so, try taking a break from whatever is stressing you out. And as far as your dream journal goes, if you don't recall much, just try recalling how you felt after it. Everyone is different in terms of when they learn to lucid dreams too. I had a friend who had a lucid dream a few nights after I explained it to them, but I still have yet to lucid dream. Hope this helps. :/

Like robodragon said, you're in a dry spell right now, everyone has them. Just try to work through, and try thinking about LDing really hard right before you fall asleep. RC like 50 times, and then set your alarm for a WBTB, do another 50 RCs, go to sleep. Once you get one LD all your motivation will come back because of how awesome it is. It really is worth the effort. After that it'll just keep getting easier.

It's too early to give up, sunshine. Get into the habit of doing several (I stick with 3) reality checks a day and you'll eventually start doing them in dreams. It's not something you learn over night.

I was about to give up too.. And you know what? Next night I had 3 LD's. Lucid Dreaming is amazing, but it's not so easy to learn. I would suggest you to keep trying. Beleave me it's worth all the effort. :)

Don't give up! If I were you, I'd stop trying so hard for a week or two. Just write down your dreams and try to enjoy having regular dreams aswell. How do you think people surivive dryspells? They enjoy the regular ones which can be just as (if not even more) crazy as lucid dreams.
Take a short break. Have you tried all methods there are? Also some people might need more than a month to be able to do it, but as soon as you get one, the next one will come alot easier.
If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask! We're all here for you. Good luck!

You will get your lucid! For me getting the first one took 2-3 months.

Some people right when they learn about having a lucid dream have one that night. Some people have been having them their whole lives. Then there are people like me and you who it takes a little bit longer to achieve the goal. Nut if you give up... You'll never achieve your goal.
Also, you have to sleep. If you have to sleep why not write your dreams down when you remember them? If you do just that then eventually I bet you'll have a lucid dream. Once you have that first one and feel the rush of excitement you'll never want to stop

If you can lucid dream in under a month, you would be considered to be pretty good, persistence my friend.

DO NOT GIVE UP! A month? That's nothing!! Some people work a year before having there first lucid dreams.
Do what matte said, take a week or two as a break. I wouldn't doubt that you have a lucid dream during that time.
-
Yeah here is something convincing. STOP ASKING FOR ATTENTION.
But.. if this is what you want to hear then here it goes.
NO MAN DON'T LEAVE IT'S ONLY A DRY SPELL....NOOO DON'T LEAVE.
CMON MAN, STAY, DON'T LEAVE, KEEP AT IT YOU CAN DO IT.
DON'T WORRY MAN, YOU'LL GET IT.

If you do get real sleep when LDing, then just continue..no harm trying.
Its really not that hard, just need good imagination.
But ensuring that you have enough rest is always better than LDing.
Just do/try what the others recommend. lucks

Dang dude, don't give up. It takes so much effort. Just try to get enough sleep, thats the biggest part. I started trying 6months ago(roughly) trying to get lucid dreams, and just barely had. I tried for like 2months straight, every night. Then I just stopped, I'm not telling you to stop.
Then just recently(a few days ago) I had my first lucid. It was incredibly vivid. I don't know how or why, but after an already, I started to just know I was lucid because I saw my friend running from the snake and wondered why he was here. Memories from real life came rushing back, and that there is no such thing as giant snakes guarding the only way out of buildings, or companies that bomb you for exchanging their video games. I just knew I was lucid and after that I was able to control about 70% of the dream, their were some parts that were uncontrollable and kind of wierd. But I am brand new to this.
But dude, don't give up. That morning I woke up and was amazed, it felt so real. As time passes on it doesn't seem real anymore but I still remember the dream clearer than anything else I've ever dreamed about. And I didn't even write it down in my dream journal!!!
It was completely worth it. I also have had some almost close to more lucid dream experiences. Last night I had a dream I woke up and was getting ready for school. That was also incredibly vivid. When I woke up, I was freaked out, it was 3 in the morning and I felt like I was already ready to go to school.
Keep trying. ;)

I've had a dry spell for about a month. A little more actually. Then suddenly I don't know, I stopped worrying about it. Stopped "trying" for a few days, then started again, not worrying about if I hit lucid or not. I told myself I'd hit lucid, but no matter what happened, I'd remember my dream. I woke up throughout the night and I kept remembering bits of them. I've been learning to "backtrace" (hehe) them and it's getting easier, albeit slowly. But after that dry spell where it seemed I wasn't dreaming at all, now I"m getting good chunks of them again. Had a brief lucid yesterday, my second so far. So things are getting better.
Just relax, don't sweat it, accept the dry spell for what is, temporary, and just go with it. Try giving yourself at least one night of just relaxing and indulging in sleep. Don't worry about dreams or anything. Just sleep. The next afternoon, if you can, take a nap and try maybe WILDing. An hour before you go to bed read some tutorials on lucid dreaming, revisit your dream journal if you have one and study your dream signs. As you lay in bed, relax, get ready to indulge in sleep again without worrying about dreams or lucid dreaming or the expectations that you need to have one. Imagine to yourself you in a dream doing reality checks. Imagine yourself in a dream encountering your dream signs and using them to "wake up". Tell yourself you'll remember your dreams and let the thoughts of lucid dreaming and dream recall be your last entertaining thoughts as you sleep away.
And whatever happens happens.
