Lucid nightmare??

Hello Dream views, I just made my account so bear over with me if its not okay.

Lately ive been following Lucid Dreaming on the side, trying to learn it. But lately i have been having some problems like once a week or so. I find myself in bed mostly, almost complete darkness but able to see. I then might start flying around feeling i get pulled.
I cant do anything, I want to scream for help but I'm paralyzed (Sleep paralyzed?) I then feel i wake up after some extensive work think that its a dream and calming down.

The problem is that I get caught in another dream where I don't know I'm dreaming and then end up in the same horrible dream again.

Question on the side: How do i start recognizing my second dream might be a lucid dream that i can "profit" on?.

So your lucid nightmares take place in your bed, and then you have a false awakening and have another non-lucid nightmare on top of that?

The key is to reality check often, and to maintain a constant state of suspicious alertness. You can combat the nightmare when lucid, but there's little you can do while non-lucid. Don't lose lucidity, continue to RC and don't get too involved in the dream at any point. Oh, and welcome to the forum :)

Sound like you had a false awakening, witch is when you think that you've woken up, but your really still dreaming. Try to do a reality check every time you wake up, even if you are 100% sure you are awake. This way, when you have another false awakening, you will do a reality check by force of habit and become lucid.
