My Lucid Dreaming Experience
Hi everyone, I'm new here. Just wanted to introduce myself and share a bit of my lucid dream experience. I first learned about it 6 or 7 years ago. I had spontaneously had 1 or 2 lucid dreams and wanted to find out more. So I looked up information and I learned about some of the techniques. I tried out a few, but I didn't really get results. I also tried keeping a dream journal, but I just couldn't keep it up. Sound familiar?
Anywhoo, that was 6 or 7 years ago, and now I have lucid dreams on a fairly consistent basis, maybe 3-4 a week. The way I did it was I got really interested in the meaning behind my dreams. I didn't keep a dream journal but I would wake up every morning and try to remember a dream, and if i could, i would sort of analyze it. I began to believe in the power of dreams opening up a door into our unconscious.
The more deeply I analyzed my dreams from this perspective, the more lucid dreams I began to have. Pretty soon characters in my dreams would be doing and saying various things to me, and my reaction in the dream would be to think to myself, "Hmmm... this is a dream and this person and everything they are doing is really me just projecting myself". I often try to convince the other people in my dreams that it is just a dream lol!
So that's my story, and I have to say, the dream world is pretty incredible. I hope I get to know some of you a bit better.
