      Suffer from false wakeups

First of all I'm Surprised to even hear the fact that people WANT to have lucid dreams and even practice and try too...

Hi umm, ever since I could remember I've been having Lucid Dreams probably since I was like 6, (I think thats what it is called. I would say it started when I first drank a full glass of Tampico Juice Today is the first time I ever hear the word "LUCID" btw. Heres my story i'll try not to make it to long hope I can get some help thanks

When out to Dodger stadium last night, and did a lot of drinking with my friends mostly beers so i had a hang over this morning and felt pretty crappy went to bed late last night. Well I got up around 830 AM and needed something cold and sweet so I went in the fridge (in back of my mind knowing I shouldnt do this but hey my head hurt lol) well chugged a full glass of tampico and went right back to bed and fell asleep

Ok here is why Im suprised to hear people actually want to have a lucid dream... I woke up cos I thought there was an earthquake and I heard my sister calling for my mom and Im wondering why nobody is knocking on my door to wake me up... finally im like ok well obviously im dreaming... "great I'm thinking I new I should have drank the damm Tampico" so I tell myself wake up... wake up wake up, but i cant wake myself up, so now at this point from what I understand it im having a LUCID DREAM well I finally was able to wake myself up did a reality check and glad to say say their was no an earthquake, well went back to bed and it happened to me about 3 more times everytime time im struggling to wake myself up... different dreams btw, but my problem is waking myself up once I know im having a lucid dream

ok well on the 4th time i thought hey im gonna make my body move before dreaming cos i knew i was dreaming... after seeing the movie inception i got the idea... before today I always thought I was the only one with this problem... not sure what you guys wanna call it...

so i go back to bed and bamm again im struggling to wake myself up... so i remember well try moving so little by little im trying to move my body and viola I got up and I was in my room, I go open the door walk around the house and I realized shoot I didnt wake up Im actually just walking around the house still dreaming... I got freaked out by the way and not really in a good way, well I go to the backyard and there are these 2 huge rottweilers and they are gonna attacking me then i think wait they cant hurt me (I HOPE COS IM DREAMING i tell myself) so i kill one dog then the next then I think hey can I imagine two females and viola two females I did try kissing them they let me for a second then one bit me, then i tried again and she bit me again, well they I started thinking I know i have full control right now but I wanna wake up this is freaky so i walk back to my room lay down then keep telling myself wake up, wake up, wake up... so finally I decide not to go to bed cos i was freaked out watched some netflix online and thought hey I wonder if i can google what happened, so i type in can you know you are dreamin? and now I'm here at DREAMVIEWS after some youtube videos, reading articles etc... reason I'm writing this now is because I haven't really wanted to go back to bed in case it happens again (Usually when I become lucid I am unable to move today was the first time I was able to move, I guess cos I always thought your body cant move while your asleep I guess that it just physically though.., I dont have sleep problems btw only when I drink Tampico Juice... besides that I sleep very normal and I'm kinda wondering if I should try to drink Tampico Juice again to see if I can actually enjoy the experience like a lot of you guys seem to be doing... any tips, or more research would be very welcomed... thanks again for taking the time to read this...

Like i said today was the first time I knew that there were actually other people like me out in the world... Glad to know I'm not the only one I'll just keep reading articles for now...

      Thanks
      Art Hernandez

Things are only going to get weirder, friend. Cameras are everywhere. Act like a rock star.

What is tomacco? Isn't that that tomato/tabacco crop they grew accidentally in an episode of The Simpsons? Whatever it is, I'm sure people here will be interested in its potential ability to cause LDs.
EDIT: Oh, sorry you said tampico. I don't know what that is either.

When you can't move physically and are awake, before or after waking up, it's called sleep paralysis. I don't know if that's what you got though. I've had one lucid dream in which I couldn't move from my bed.

I've heard other people experience the frustrating lucid dreams you describe. The reason people want to have them is because the types of lucid dreams we're trying to get are not frustrating like yours. We aim to realize we have full control over the dream, and practice making whatever we want happen. Once you get good at it, it's like living in a virtual reality. You can teleport yourself anywhere and make anything happen, and it can feel as vivid as real life. I hope that clarifies why people want to have them. There are other benefits too, like interacting with the subconscious, but the pure funness of it is probably the main reason.

Maybe you could just try, next time you have a lucid dream, to change the dream into what you want it to be. You're already doing this, sort of, but the fact that bad things happened which you didn't plan shows you don't have complete control over the dream, even though you know you're dreaming. Maybe you can practice maintaining complete control, becoming confident that you really are in control of the 'dream world'.

haha yeah the more i've been reading the more it seems like it can actually be fun if i can control it, my gf said I'm not allowed to dream anymore btw cos of the two girls conjured up lol, I think I got to WILD where i knew i was asleep, i knew i was dreaming, i knew i was paralayzed then I walked out of my physical body, and was just in my mental body, I walked around my house then got scared and went back to go wake my physical self up... It felt like i could have walked anywhere I wanted even the mall, walmart etc... I guess I just normally get to the knowing im asleep, knowing im dreaming, and paralayzed but am completely awawre of all these things in bed, but I can never move well until today... Idk it really wasnt hard I just never thought there was another stage, is it like a next stage? the WILD I mean? whats the difference between WILD and LUCID? any links?

This is Tampico, I had an ex drink it one night cos she always thought I was crazy she said nothing happened though i guess its different for other people, I never described it as LUCID or WILD i always just told her it gave me nightmares lol

Sorry i tried posting a link of what tampico is but it says I havent been a member long enough yet

just go to google images and type in Tampico Juice
I think any flavor might do for me, ,but it has happened to me a lot more with the orange flavor, I think the red too a few times, probably because my mom usually bought the orange on her own usually though lol

Yeah. Don't dream anymore. You might cheat on your girlfriend in your dreams.
