Lucid Dreaming Tonight
Alright, so I'm back to school tomorrow. The only time I've ever had a lucid (DILD) was when my alarm goes off at 6. It goes off at 6, then I set it for 7, and go back to sleep. The DILD happened once randomly, and I really want to do it tonight/tomorrow morning. I'm looking for some tips so that I will have it happen. I'd rather it be a WILD, but a DILD would be fine with me. I understand DILD's are a little more uncontrollable so I'm not sure what kinds of tips you can offer, but anything's helpful. I've looked at numerous WILD techniques across the board, but I haven't had one work for me yet.
Again, any advice would be appreciated, sorry if you guys get these threads all the time, but I'm sure you more experienced LD'ers can understand why I want it now.
Thanks!

What I have done in my 2 lucid dreams recently is while I fall asleep I think over and over again "I will have a lucid dream". If this is the last thing on your mind when you pass between awake and asleep the thought will continue once you enter a REM stage.
If you want even more chance success do the following:
1. Set an alarm for about 3 hours after you expect to fall asleep.
2. Go back to sleep. Don't let any thought other than ones related to lucid dreaming enter your mind. While sleeping think over and over "I will have a lucid dream".
I wish you good luck fellow Canadian.

Hi! I would say you wake up 4½-6 hours into sleep and do the mantras. The videos are not needed. If you get up and stay up for a while, all you need to do is to think about lucid dreaming ALOT and just imagine how cool it will be when you go back to bed and get lucid. Do the mantras when you do.
This is called a MILD, it's bascily an improved version of the DILD. If you want to maximize your chances of getting lucid, then do mantras before bed, during the WBTB (that's when you're awake after some sleep) which should be between 20-30 minutes or so. And just believe in yourself.
Good luck!
*Also I removed the link you posted Miiister. I don't think watching that video would be any different from just doing mantras or visualizations, plus it linked to another Lucid Dreaming site.
