Hi, I'm new here.
Hi my names Gerson, and I'm 20 years old. Was born in Acores, islands off of Portugal. I am considered portuguese, 100% and proud of it. I moved to the USA when I turned 7 years old, and have lived here since. I recently talked to a friend of mine who has been doing this so called "Lucid Dreaming." I am very interested in it, and need some pointers on how I can start. I would love to learn this, I'm always interested in going through unique experiences and feelings. This would be a great way for me to have some fun, and do things I could never do in real life. An example would be flying, or owning anything I want and etc. Thanks for taking the time to reading this thread. (If anyone even read it.) I hope to help out anyone that needs help in trying to lucid dream, but as of now I am just beginning and need help myself.

Welcome, Gerson.
Go to the tutorial section (linked below) and look up information on dream journals, reality checking, DILD, WILD, DEILD, and MILD. You might also want to check out the acronym list, since they're frequently used on the site.
If you have any questions after doing that, don't be afraid to ask around.

I came up with The Idea of using A reality Check Checklist. 10-15 times a day I Do a reality check. Then I check it off my list (Eg Do one reality check in every class) I'm not shure If I'm Doing Too Few Or Too many though.
When I do a reality check I run though these questions.
-Am I dreaming?
-Is my situation logical?
-What was I doing Before now?
-What am I going to do next?
Then I try to do stuff you can only do in a dream. I try to think about firing a energy beam from my hand or flying.

That would work, but don't embarass yourself by trying to shoot fire out of your hands!
