A sci-fi is a something that falls under the genre of "science fiction". common "sci-fi"s include movies/novels/games with space travel or interplanetary connections or aliens. Star Wars is a good example of a sci-fi movie. is this what you meant, or are you referring to something in lucid dremaing that i haven't heard of because im such a newbie.

Isn't it just some weird term of nesgirl's? I'm interested to read what she says when she sees this thread.

Yeah....sci-fis can be out of this world, if you decide to fly there. It usually starts in the same position as a WILD, so that is why I say it is kind of a WILD. Nesgirl, two thing.. One: Why bothering making a new word for somehting that already has a name( if you even do it) and

To me "Sci-FI" is Star Wars, The Matrix, lots of lazers and robots, Time Travel..

I think referring to them as Sci-Fi’s is a good idea, it helps the imagination to develop the experience into something exciting and innovative.

Well, & I should mention why it is similar to real life. You see, any place you see here is the same as in real life, you can do some remote viewing here, & time in Sci-fis is the same as time in real life!

Yes WILD is Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming, going from wake to the dream world consciouss. Inside the head. Can be very vivid, and for some more real than real itself.
Yes FA is False Awakening, where you mind trick you into believing your physcialy waking up and getting out of bed. But your not aware of the trick and your tricked. If you somehow during a FA notice that you are dreaming your experiencing MILD, Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming, where you become aware of dreamsigns or just the feeling of the dream world. And become Lucid that way.
Yes Real Life is... very vivid and truly real. Which also every higher state of awareness can be.
But then... there is other terms, like;
OBE, Out of Body Experience, where the double travels outside(not inside) the physcial body in real time, which is right here and now in this reality. Very real indeed (Real as in very real). I have experienced a few. And differate them from LD.
then there is
AP, Astral Projection where the double travels outside the body, into other dimensions, realities and so on. Not real time in this physcial reality like OBE.
You see, the terms are there. But you choose somehow to make up your own, combine terms that cant really be combined, and claim that they are differnt from than the terms that already excist. This is confusing!
Offcourse call your experiences what you will, but we have to agree on that we are talking about the same thing. Or else, again, confusion will take place.

Yes during OBE/AP(Also now known as Sci-fi :wink: ), and Lucid Dreams, your offcourse as awake and aware as when in real life and that whats so great about them :mrgreen:

A shroom is someone in real life that cannot tell if they are awake or if they are dreaming. I am not always aware in real life(especially when changes occur), so that is what makes me kind of a shroom! My mom once pulled a mean prank, in which she swapped my gnome statue w/another one. I go up & ask her as soon as I look at it, "Mom, am I dreaming?" She says, "Now what makes you say that?" I show her the gnome statue, & she just laughs. I tell her that it isn't funny b/c I am not always able to tell in real life (I am always able to tell in LDs!).Quote:

Dream yogist try to archieve an state of mind where they percieve reality, both the waking world and the dream world, as merly a dream. But they also have reality checks which always let them know which state theyr in. Dont you have any RC that you always can trust?
Yeah! In my LDs, it is my supreme control that allows me to tell, & in a Sci-fi, the best things to do reality checks on is your bed & yourself! :DQuote:
