Hello, everyone.
So I was doing a bit of research on lucid dreaming with trusty old google, and I stumbled upon this place. Looks like a nice site. :]
Well, my name is Savy, I'm 18. I have vivid dreams every night, I think I might have been lucid dreaming my whole life, though I'm not sure.
About 2-3 times a week I'll have dreams where I'm aware that I'm dreaming, in fact I've had one a day for three days now. Usually, though, I don't manipulate the dream, I just kinda go along with it, which is why I'm not sure if it's considered "lucid". Sometimes if a dream gets really unpleasant or scary I'll quickly change the story to avoid a nightmare, but I don't change the dreams that often. Maybe once, twice a month? Also, if I have a really good dream one night I'll go to bed the next night and if I want to dream it again I can make myself pick it back up. That happens pretty often. Not sure if that's lucid dreaming or anything.
I don't keep a journal (well I tried to once, but I got bored), but if I'm not in a rush in the morning I'll usually remember my dreams. I've had dreams like this as long as I can remember, just started researching about them now, so I don't know much. That's my experience, anyways.
Okay! That was a wall, sorry. Treat me kindly, I'm a noob. D:

Hi and welcome to DV! Start writing in your DJ and you will see that your recall improves alot. Also, have some intentions of controling the dream. If you need ideas on what to do, then check out the http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/ thread. It's filled with things you can do while being Lucid. Also, as long as you know you're dreaming, it's a lucid. Check out the Wiki - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource for some nice tutorials.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

It sounds like you've been lucid dreaming for a while, congrats! You're lucky that you get so many. Like Matte said, to be lucid you don't need to use dream control. Also, don't forget to check out the DV chat. You can connect with an IRC client or click the "chat" link in the navigation menu at the top of the page. That's where all the cool people hang out.
PS: I'm so jealous :armflap: I never remembered dreams until I started trying really hard to, and even now my recall is random at best.

Hi! Thanks for the replies!
I usually remember my dreams, the only times I don't are either when I'm tired or don't have time to lay down and fully wake up. I still have my old dream journal, though, so I think I'll try to pick it back up. It's weird, it's not like I really try to remember them, I just always have. Maybe because I get so into my dreams? They're always like awesome adventure novels. :D
Oh, so I still don't know much about lucid dreaming, but thanks for the links and the answers! Interesting to hear I'm lucid dreaming after all. :P
Btw, and I can probably find this out in the FAQ, but what are these little acronyms in everyone's signatures? WILD? DILD? I think I saw others?

Here at DV (Dream Views), we use acronyms for for everything. Not really, but if it's *ILD then it stands for some sort of "* induced lucid dream." There is a list of terms and acronyms here. It's fairly common to put statistics and goals in your signature indicating what methods of dream induction you use or make a goal of using.
