A hello... and some questions

Hey everyone out there. I'm new. Like, just-made-my-account-yesterday new. It's a pleasure to be here. I got into this whole "lucid dream" thing recently and I discovered this website.

Anyways, the other day I was having a terrible stomachache, so I went to lie down. I'm sort impatient, so I started reciting to myself "I will lucid dream" in my head. After a while I felt my body going numb, like a WILD, though there was little to none hypnonogic imagery. I got the distinct sensation of sort of spinning into my bed, and the spinning grew faster and faster. Of course, my mother chose that precise moment to yell at my brother, and I snapped out of it. I tried to close the door, use headphones, and try again, but I couldn't.

Was this a WILD without the sleeping and awakening stages beforehand? From what I've already read, it seems like I was getting close. What should I do next time when I start "spinning"?

It sounds like you were in SP, or in the process of entering it. There won't always be HI at this stage, the spinning sensation was just a hallucination. You'll start seeing HI later on in the stage, which will form the dream around you.

So I was still in or entering SP?
