Dreaming a Day
Recently, I had a very vivid dream. It wasn't a lucid dream, but it was realistic, meaning that nothing impossible happened. However, in this dream, I experienced two full days that never happened in real life. That included waking up, and going to sleep (no dreams within a dream though). It was also a good dream, and actually good enough that it was slightly depressing to wake up and come back to reality. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone else has ever vividly dreamed a full day or even more. Also, does this have a specific name or something? I've dreamt a full day before, but never more than that. Is there any way to purposely have a dream like that? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: Just realize this category is "lucid dreaming" and this should probably be moved. Sorry for any inconvenience.

It is entirely possible I imagine, I was reading a thread where someone proposed this theory that in the dream things are in real time, but we shorten things down without realizing it....they used an example of walking towards a tree :p I have also heard of LD's that seem to last weeks and months, it's insane lol.

The longest dream I've experienced lasted about a day, but I couldn't recall all of it when I woke up. One of my lucid goals is to alter time in a dream, and remember it all when I wake up.

I would call it a false awakening. Idk it's my guess.
And no I have never done that before.

Some people have had dreams that seemed like they lasted years. It's There is no specific name for a dream like this but they are entirely possible.

I've had dreams that seemed to last a whole day. It was like, another day in my life, but it was just a dream.
This is something a little mysterious to me because, you don't actually (physically) dream for that long, because of our sleep cycles. That includes us waking up about every hour or 2 throughout the night.
