Practice makes perfect?
I've recently been trying to WILD just before I go to bed (I figure that I will never get up at four in the morning, and know I'm right)
Anyway, I'll usually get really close I got up hearing a random sound (wall cracking) and also had a sinking sensation (like I was either melting or sinking into my matress- awesome feeling), but I'll never make that final step.
But recently it hit me, I can only get that far if I lie on my back, but I always sleep on my side. So if I want to be relaxed enough to get into the final stages I'll need to have the possibility of falling asleep, ie. be able to sleep on my back.
So I've put my WILD attempts to one side while I practice falling asleep on my back.
Keep you informed on if it helped when I start trying to WILD again in about 3 days (have been sleeping on my back for almost 1 week so far - slowly getting easier)

I have the same problem as well and you just gave me an idea :) Anyway, have you looked at the tutorial? It's got some good advice on transitions between WILD phases. If you've already looked at it, just don't give up. At any rate, if it doesn't seem to be showing any improvements after about a week, take a break and try later or just try another technique for a little while.

Well its been a while now and I can fall asleep on my back normally (but it still isnt as natural as if I'm on my side)
But to put it bluntly there hasnt been any change in how far I can get trying to WILD. But dont let this make you think I'll stop now.
I've reread a couple of tutorials and I've noticed a few things that I've been doing wrong, so I'll be fixing those up and seeing where I end up (hopefully beyond the black stump :P)
Keep ya's posted
