I have trouble maintaining All Day Awareness because I spend most of my time playing video games that require most of my attention.

Set an alarm to go off every 10-30minutes. Every time it goes off practice ADA as long as you can before you lose concentration/forget. Rinse and Repeat.
This is comming from a guy who used to play video games 24/7 and stared at the screen until the images burned into his subconscious... One thing you can do is play video games a little less and take some time to walk through the woods. If not that, I've also recently learned that there was a study done a few years ago about the affects of games on lucid dreaming. The studies showed that gamers tend to be more likely to become lucid I think. Because they spend a lot of time in a virtual world that they control, dream control also tends to come easier to gamers. Another interesting thing is gamers are less likely to run from nightmares and more likely to stand, fight, and enjoy it. (The aliens killed me 4 times and I thought it was awesome!) I believe this information is accurate because it reflects the way I respond in dreams very well.
So one way, you could focus on the virtual world more, and the other way you could focus on the real world. Personally, if you really want to lucid dream, I think you should just take an hour or two of your game time to practice ADA. It would also be healthier. :)
Just my 2 cents. Good luck! :D
Just remember to reality check while you play video games. You don't have to physically do anything, or interrupt your game. Just be aware of yourself every few minutes. Pull a bit of attention out of the game and back to your body. The same thing applies to reading, painting, ect. Anything that takes a lot of attention.
Sorry for posting in your thread but I have a similar question regarding ADA. Is ADA just how your body feels through the day, paying attention to your breathing, muscles working, etc. Or is it everything around you also, the sounds, sights and smells of everything near by. For example just stopping what you are doing and paying attention to all the sounds may it be nature or a workplace, is that practicing ADA? So I guess what i am asking is it awareness of you, or awareness of you and everything around you?
yes, ADA is paying attention to all the sounds may it be nature or gunfire. watch the way you move, breathe, notice everything, just be aware.
