Part hobby, part self improvement, part just interesting... That is my opinion at least.
Exactly what Bren said, I also see it as an escape from stress, and a world of anarchy, where you don't have to take shit from anyone, or listen to anyone, it's your world and your rules.
Its a hobby, but not a constant thing for me. I'm not even trying right now, too much to think about.
I enjoy lucid dreaming because it's just awesome. Kind of a release from life, however short.
In general, it;s more than a hobby.

Depends on the person. I don't LD by default, so for me it's a hobby.
Yea I'm quite interested in LD'ing and yea I would say its a hobby.
Its a part time hobby, sometimes I can be bothered doing it, other times I lose motivation
To me its a way to improve my spirituality
Yeah, but it's so awesome that I count it for more.
I said to someone once that I thought of it as a hobby, and they looked at me like I was crazy and said "No one has ever told me that dreaming is a hobby for them :eek:"

More than a hobby
It's a sanctuary for me. The one place where nobody can bother me. The one place where I am truly free, that is my mind.
It's also a way to explore myself at the same time. I'm not too interested in most of these activities that people here do in their first LDs. I'm looking for a more deeper purpose.
I can see it as a hobby, it takes time and practice during your waking hours as well and you're trying to accomplish a goal. These things coupled with you enjoying the process can certainly define it as being a hobby.

Lucid dreaming is a hobby. Unless you're LaBerge then it's your career.
Lucid dreaming isn't something most people get paid for. It's not something you need to do to survive. So I'd call it a hobby.
Lucid dreaming is something that makes me want to go to sleep. Nights aren't boring anymore.
Yes id agree with the above post, it gives me something to look forward to when i go to sleep at night. I wish i could practice it more often though =p
