Hello all
Hi all,
Just found this site as I was surfing for articles and methods on Lucid dreaming. I've been experimenting with Lucid Dreaming on and off over the last two months. I have succeeded twice in this period but of course when I haven't been trying.
The main method I've been using has been WILD as it is similar to meditations I used to use. I've had success once with this in the past but definitely not as intense as my experiences when lucidity was induced in the dream.
I've had several short bursts of lucidity waking soon after and one long lucid dream which was mind blowing. This was in the last week and has really boosted my appetite for another.
So, thats it really. Hoping to get some pointers. Share experiences and such and basically develop this new aspect of my life.

Welcome to DV! Motivation is great, so having a fun goal and achieving it is very important in the beginning. Get a taste for it and before you know it, it's a part of your life :)
Have you tried any other techniques? WILD'ing can be very hard to do for some, but since you're used to meditating you should have an easier time. Also remember to do the WILD's during naps or WBTB's. Don't do them when going to sleep for the night, you'll just end up losing consciousness most likely and if you do get into a dream, it won't happen in REM.
If you got questions, ask away! Keep on dreaming!

I have a 6 month old so getting the chance to wake up middle of night and fall back into dream is the angle I'm gonna explore for next while. Also for the last day I've been RC with my hand every 10 mins and an hour b4 bed tonite up til sleepys I'll keep repeating "my next conscious thought is a reality check". And ditto for waking up and going back to sleep at night.
Only one question is there any good threads with suggestions or a list of powers that I can try? My first proper LD I've managed scene change, body manip, flying and interacting with DC.

Ah then you're doing just fine :) Remember to keep your Recall fresh aswell and just keep at it, you'll get lucid more and more as time goes.
That's alot of control for a first dream! Wow. Check the Dream Control forum here: Dream Control It's got alot of threads with suggestions for what you can do. I recommend you truly learn how to fly properly and do telekinesis thought. They're great standard powers. Also perhaps teleporting and transforming.
