Lucidity problems
Hey i'm Gancia,
this is my first post here on this site.
so i heard about lucid dreaming last friday from a friend
and on monday i started to look around for more information
and i started my realitychecks then too
so that night i had a dream and tried a realitycheck
I was lucid for a couple of seconds but then i got too exited and i woke up in another dream.
since then i didn't had another lucid dream since.
So can i please have some tips on gaining lucidity?
also i want to try the WILD technique
but i have no clue how to start with this?
i did the "wake up before my alarmclock" test.
so can i please have some help?
i have no problems with remembering most of my dreams btw :)

Ok.
When I started out lucid dreaming, I had about 3 in two weeks, and now I haven't had on in like, 3 weeks.
It just takes time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
Look in the Dreamviews Wiki on tutorials for WILD.
And look up WBTB method.
Also I would recommend look up and try the DILD method mixed with KingYoshi's ADA (All Day Awareness) Technique.

Hi Gancia, welcome to Dreamviews!
Being lucid in a dream means that you're essentially conscious within it. Since lucidity is caused by consciousness, or awareness, you should work on being aware in real life, so the mindset carries over into your dreams. As NightSpy2 said, KingYoshi has a great tutorial, I also have one myself (in my signature - Puffins DILD Guide). They both focus on how to be aware of what's around you, and how to heighten your consciousness. It sounds a little bit like meditation, but maybe it is to an extent! Reality checks are great for making sure you're either awake or asleep; usually they come after becoming lucid.
