It is when you know that you are dreaming inside a dream. Well, my religion believes in Christ, but is against black magic, but they really don't care that I do that....in fact, many are interested in them. LDing is a natural ability that one can either have or develop, so please don't worry about it.
BTW, Welcome to the Forum!!
Hey STi :D I sent you a welcome message but thought I'd say hello again here.
Anyway, I'm a Christian and as was said already, dreaming is a natural part of life, and lucid dreaming no less. You're simply becoming aware that you're not awake. It's not sinful until you bring morality into it, which I won't get into because we've got a lot of topics on that already around :) If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

So its like if i have a dream, and in that dream i have a dream?if so I have alot of those, and 3/4's of them are bad dreams that scare me, and make me think its real.
BTW thx for welcoming me :D (i think i spelled that wrong lol)
I could never find myself believing in any religion , especially one that says you cant do things like dreaming.
Lucid Dreaming is being aware that you're dreaming while you're dreaming. it's exactly like your every day waking life except that you can do things you can't normally do in reality. if you have nightmares alot, you can become lucid in them and you'll have the power to control and change them into a more pleasant dream.

oohhhh i get it, in that case I AM VERY LUCID lol...
ld has nothing to do against christianity, it just means you're aware during your dreams it has nothign to do with the occult, but there are some relligions that give LD a bad name saying is part of teh occult. as for your nightmares here's somethign. there are no bad dream just the perception of them. since they're all in your head you create the bad dream yourself for whatever reason. it could be stress, guilt etc etc.
so next time you have a bad dream try to change the bad feeling for a good one. when you least expect it you will never have nightmares again. i haven't had 1 in over 10 years.
heres where the technicality comes in. the term "Lucid Dreaming" is reffering to being aware of the fact that you're dreaming- while you're dreaming. the word "lucid" simply means "clear, vivid". you can have a dream that is "lucid", in other words a very vivid and clear dream, but technically it is not a Lucid Dream because you are not aware of the fact that you're dreaming. you can have high or low "lucidity" anytime, awake or asleep, depending on your awareness- of things going on around you, of your senses, your current state (awake or asleep) and of your awareness itself (amoung other things.)Quote:
