      Hello!

Hello everyone, I will start off by saying what a nice wholesome community you have here. After a little while of browsing these forums I thought I'd introduce myself and get to know the community.

I'm not ignorant to the concept of lucid dreaming, I've tried it before and have managed to have 1-2 lucid dreams (over the course of 5-6 years); however I haven't had one since. I've had one major weakness that has followed me, which is lack of determination. After a while I'd just stop writing in my journal and forget about it all together. I have managed to get back into it again with my motivation and determination as raw as ever. As far as I'm concerned, I will keep trying until I'm consistent with lucid dreaming; who knows, tonight may be the night.

To reiterate my point, I can easily write out a list things I want to do when I attain lucidity, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. My main goal now is just getting to a conscious state.

I'll formally close by stating again, it is a pleasure to meet you all, and this looks like a very affable community, I look forward to learning from this site.

Hey Firebat! Welcome to DV! I'm also pretty new to the community. Also I have only had 2 lucid dreams also :/. I don't suggest ever stopping your dream journal, it is a huge part in recall. Anyways, welcome!

Hi and welcome to DV! Keeping the motivation up can be hard, but try as hard as you can to! Having another goal than just becoming Lucid can help you, so I suggest you pick something you really look forward to doing your first time, easy but fun.

Try to write down any dreams you have each night, by doing this you will not only learn to appreciate the awesome adventures you're having while you're asleep, your recall will also go up, increasing your chances of becoming Lucid

If you can think of any questions you haven't yet asked, then ask away. Good luck and keep on dreaming!
