Almost had it!!!!.... Uh I think?

      Hey again all at dreamviews!

Last night I worked up a dreaming scenario as an experiment, my intention is to try to WILD as much as possible, got some time off work so I thought may aswell progress my LD'ing as much as possible. Its kind of an experiment and I'd like to know if it's a good idea or not basically. Throughout the day and before I fall asleep I tell myself "I'm walking through a Forrest, it's daytime. I'm looking for her, she has something for me. The item will make me become lucid."

Now I'm not sure if this will work but last night I had a weird dream in where I got a new job hunting lucid dreams, it was really cool but unfortunately I failed to do a RC, I think I was just too excited about lucid dreaming appearing as a subject in my dream. I mean the fact that the subject has transferred over to my subconscious is a good sign though, right? Or am I just clutching at nothing? =P lol.
      Thanks in advance,

      Nito.

Hi! What you're describing is induction, not WILD. A WILD is when you're awake and go into a Lucid Dream while staying conscious.

And yes, everything Lucid related is progress, so just keep at it! If you're trying out a WILD, make sure you do it during a nap or a WBTB and if you'd like you can experiment with inducing a particular scene by thinking of it and imagining touching the scenery. Or you just lie there and accept whatever you will see, you'll end up in a dream eventually if you can relax and stay conscious.

      Good luck!

Might work. People have done it before. I have done similar things with success.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

Incubating dreams, like this, can work wonderfully. Just don't expect it to happen the way you want. Our dreaming minds interpret things in their own way. Keep things simple, and be open to the usual subconscious shenanigans.

so, for incubating a dream, would the best way be to write it down or to think about for a long time?

Thanks for the advise!! I can imagine it won't quite go how I want or expect. I think I need to focus more on my RC atm as even though I seem to think, something just aint right here... I still let the dream play out.
