New to Dream Views!
I wanted to introduce myself, new and just now signed up. I'm Newnie. (Birth-Given nickname...don't ask.) I always had biblical dreams or dreams that I felt were really trying to send a message to me. So recently, I ordered a book on Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge in hopes to finding the messenger and asking what exactly is the message. The deeper I'm reading into this book, the more fascinating and advance lucid dreaming can become to one.
I am something of an insomniac who gets about 6 hours in and have close to vivid dreams. I also want to ask a quick question. I use to have dreams of my (at that time) lovers cheating on me. Than later that day, I would actually find out they were being unfaithful. I wouldn't call this a deja'vu or anything close to it. It happened many occasions with different gfs. One day I was robbed at gun point and ever since I've never been able to have those types of dreams. I just wanted to know if anyone can give me any helpful detail on this. I plan to stay awhile if not forever. I am enjoying the knowledge and skill of lucid dreaming and was looking for the perfect community I communicate in.

Newnie, welcome to DV :)!
There is debate as to whether dreams are anything more than just dreams or not. Personally, I haven't had dreams exactly like this, but I've had things happen to me, that have triggered recall of a dream that I had, sometimes the same day, sometimes months or years ago, and the dream was exactly the same as the thing I had just done in real life. I'd recommend browsing or posting in Beyond Dreaming (click). Also, the community on DV is really helpful, so don't hesitate to post if you have any questions, or want to discuss something. Also, feel free to send me a private message if you'd rather ask privately.

Greetings and welcome to dreamviews!
Now please newnie, tell me to butt out if needed, I don't want to get personal or hurt your feelings. For a start the fear that your partner may be unfaithful is something everyone suffers, now it sounds to me ( and again, I'm no expert so tell me to shut up if needed) but it sounds like you may have already made up your mind about what your partners were up to, consciously or not, but if this is true it makes more than sense for this to transfer over to your dreams, especially if it's something that's on your mind.
As for the robbery, I'm sorry to hear that. I've had similar experiences myself, luckily it was only at knife point and no worse. I don't, however, know if this would cause you to stop having this kind of "6th sense" if you will, but it is possible I guess.

I want to second what nito89 said. Are you writing your dreams down? Which technique do you intend to use? Have you tried any of them and have you had any Lucid Dreams before? :)
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Hey guys, sorry for the long awaited response...been a long day. First off thanks Shockwave. Nito, that could be it. I'm open to any suggestions. I could go with that theory for sure with one ex. But there were quite a few I never imagine would. To Matte, I had 1 lucid dream when I was younger. Use to study it when trying to get into "magic" lol. Right now I'm just lurking around on the sight and following up on my book. I think its starting out with the DILD method. Thanks Angie, I appreciate that.
