Introducing myself
Hello everybody , nice to see so many dreamers in one place. Like John F. Kennedy sad "We need men who can dream of things that never were". I'm just a boy from Romania, 18 years old, love dreams and life and hopefully i'll be able to lucid dream because i have a big curiosity (hope i'm not a cat :P ) if it works and what i can explore if it does. So as i can see the forum is very active and hopefully i'll get along with you very nice.

introducing myself
Hi, everyone.
I am new on this forum. My interest was triggered by a list member on Seth and Personal Reality site on Yahoo forums giving the link.
Male, 66 years old, retired. Married, still two of the 4 kids at home, students at University in Belgium.
Lately I try to keep a diary, or at least a report on special dreams I can recall in the morning. I posted some on other sites but did not get many replies. Although I am convinced I am in the best position to explain the symbols in my own dreams, my thinking abilities, being more lateral than straight on, mostly bring me in still more intricate states of mind and confusion.
Therefore, I came to that conclusion quite some years ago, the help of a straight thinker mostly triggers the right thinking path for me.
I have a very good friend who has helped me seeing clear in more worldly and business matters in the past, but I can't ask him these more elusive matters, spiritual, dreaming etc.
I tried, but I get this blank non-understanding gaze back. So, maybe it is better to tell them to a more "specialized" audience.
Further interests are: drawing/painting - philosophy - archeological finds - ancient history etc. Languages: Motherlanguage: dutch=flemish - also:  French, English, German, currently learning italian (2nd year).
I was an operation supervisor for a US based chemical company in Belgium.
All the best to all of you.
Orlando

Please feel free to look around and ask anything you like, you are among fellow adventurers here :D

Hey Dauntless! That's really a great name to have here at a lucid dreaming forum, as it is the story of many of our lives :) Romanian's actually on my list of languages to learn some day (as I'm facinated by language), but it'll have to wait until I finish Russian, Spanish, and Arabic/Persian.
Hey Orlando! I hope you enjoy yourself here at DV!
If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask :D

Welcome to the both of you! :)

:content: now this is what I call a warm welcome :). Thanks for your greetings, hopefully I'll be able to find something useful to do (here) pretty soon.
@Amethyst Star : You have one great hobby there (learning languages) unfortunately I don't have time to learn to many at the moment ( I know for now English, France, German and not least Italian which is like a brother language with Romanian, my native language) . Romanian language is very nice and easy to learn :reading: . It's one of the few Latin languages, so if you know Italian or Spanish you'll learn quite easy Romanian.
@ Orlando : I fell honored you used this thread to introduce yourself :) and as you may have suspected I wish you a great time here (even if I just got here as well :P ) . Belgium is a great country btw, i meet only great people coming from there.
P.S. Prepare for some really nooby questions coming soon ;).
