Is this possible?
Is it possible for me to think I've become lucid as part of my dream?... I think that makes sense haha. Bascially I beleive I go lucid maybe once a week but I'm never really sure. In my dream I'm normally walking threw the streets near my house and I notice something strange and at that point I know I'm dreaming and plug my nose. After this it always seems I never have proper control of what I do. Its like the whole act of me thinking I've become lucid is part of the dream Is that possible?
Cheers

After you become lucid it's really important to focus on increasing your awareness. Try doing multiple RCs, and talk out loud to yourself. Hearing your own voice can help ground you in reality better. Say things like, "I'm dreaming right now." Use dream stabilization methods if necessary.
It's hard to fully comprehend stuff when you're in a dream, because your mind is all groggy. That's why you should take a few moments to clear your head and get to the level of consciousness that you experience in normal waking life.

Many people have reports of having dreams about being lucid. The point is to actually be lucid. You can achieve this by doing RCs while questioning reality throughout the day, practicing ADA, and generally being positive that you can do it.
Rapheal is right in a sense as well. However, I'd recommend that you activate all your senses to help stay lucid. Really try to absorb your dream setting and have a goal in mind for when you become lucid.

Not really, that would be recursion, and the brain will quickly sort out recursion. If you think you are dreaming, then you are lucid. You dan't have to be fully awaro of it to be lucid.

Once you think your lucid, Stimulate your sences it should improve the clarity and realism of your dream.

I see people here telling you what to do when you are lucid. But that doesn't help you when so far you only think you may have been lucid a few times.
Now I'm saying these people are right, I agree with them, but you are either in a regular dream, or lucid. You may be close to lucid while in a dream, but you're still in a dream.
Since you can't make yourself do these things while in a dream, you need to take them with you BEFORE you get there. Thats where R.C.s come in, as said above. You do these to arm yourself with a little timer in your head. Do enough of them, and odds are one will spark off in your head while you are asleep, dreaming, and boom, you're in....to you're own head.
Well done.
