New to lucid dreaming. Help welcome :)

Hey my names Richard ive just been getting into lucid dreaming for about a month since i had my first one and it blew me away. Anyway i was hoping you guys could give me some tips. Last night i realised one of dream signs that happens all the time its weird but my teeth fall out lol. ive taken to the pushing my finger through my hand reality check. i need help staying lucid i tend to wake up pretty soon if not right away once i realise its a dream or i can control it for a little while but it slowy fades like liquid. Any help would be great :)

I usually rub my hands together or spin slowly in a circle to stabilize the dream, try that.

Keep in the back of your mind that you are dreaming, and observe all senses. Keep up with what you are seeing, feeling, smelling, hearing, etc. I usually just focus on the feeling of dreaming... Dreams always have a unmistakable, specific feel to them for me. Yelling "clarity now" or a creative, passive way will help.

Perhaps wear an accessory like a bracelet or ring (something you see often). In dreams, put this item on and have it give you the power to be grounded in the dream.

To solve your problem with the LDs fading, just try and stabilize. Get in the right mindset.
Try and use all of your senses, and remind yourself you're dreaming. That you are in control.

Hi richard, glad you joined DV. I can see that you need some help in "not waking up" in dreams(lucid). First of all, you need to be calm. Second: stabilize/balance your senses. What do I mean by that? Don't focus only on one sense. Let's say you focus too much in eating foods(that means your TOO focused in using the sense of taste) in your LD, try to use your other senses as well. Hear(ear) your every bite, feel(skin) the very texture of the food, and smell(nose) its luscious scent. To simplify it all: balance and use your senses EQUALLY. It will surely extend the length of your LD because it will make you more "connected" with the dreamworld. If you notice that your skin is getting numb, rub it on spiky/painful surfaces. That will return you sense of touch. Hope this helps.
