dream guide
Hey just a quick newbie question assumption ever since I was little I have had this teddy dog (still have it) and everytime I had a nightmare or a chasing dream I've thought about it really hard (when I was little) and it appeared in my dream and always has it helped me getting rid of what was chasing me og shielding me from nightmares -in some sort of way always helping me getting a bad dream turned around - it havn't been in lucid dreams but just normal dreams - so I was thinking could this be my dream guide in some sort of way or just a defensive mechanism?

Wow this sounds cool But I;ve never had a dream guide well then again there are always people in my dreams that risk there lives for me.Mancon could probaly help you .

It could be a lot of things. Dream guides are sort of beyond dreaming, but I recommend you check this wikipedia article out. I'm guessing you thought highly of the Teddy dog and consider it to be good. So in your dreams the teddy dog was always good and protected you. You'll have to figure out yourself if you think it is your dream guide

Hm no it doesn't seem to be a dream guide to bad oh well it's great getting some insight :) seems that it's some sort of helper I may have summoned while telling myself it was a dream :)

You can use symbols like your teddy as tools in a dream. A simple symbol can hold a wealth of meaning and information. When you summon this symbol, you bring with it all the attached memories and associations without having to think of them all individually. Dreamers often use things like this to simplify and streamline dream interaction.

Definitely, I've heard of much stranger dream guides :P Anything in your dream could be a guide.
