Dream Control Gone Wrong
I've had quite a few DILDs before without realising what they were until someone told me and I came here to learn more.
I was interested that you can control dreams so I decided that the next time I had one I would try do something.
So anyway I was staying at a hostel and pretty hungover, just dozing in my bed (I seem to get lucids easier hungover for some reason!).
The dream started and I was in a supermarket. There was blood and smashed jars of stuff lying at my feet, next to me was a old guy in a wheel chair missing some limbs, he looked dead as well. I was shocked but knew it was a dream so I decided to run away a bit to try and control it. When I got up an aisle, I decided a woman would come round the corner, but she never came.
I was convinced she would and waited a bit more, then everything went black. I was concious but not in a dream and not able to wake up. At this point I got a bit panicked and started shouting, assuming someone in the hostel would wake me up. I could hear myself shouting for what seemed like ages, stuck in a dream limbo.
Then I opened my eyes, the other guys in the hostel were asleep so the shouting must have been in my head.
I had another dream/nightmare that I tried to control involving some cats, which pretty much ended the same way.
Does this happen to others when you try to control dreams?

Your mistake is that you tried to control it actively! You are a beginner. Don't expect to just go ahead and imagine that someone will do something, the only thing you will do is destabilize your dream.
Try to control your dream passively. If you want someone to do something don't just imagine him doing that. Ask him to do that.
If you want something to move or you want to have super natural powers ask for them. The subconscious will give you what you want. Just ask for that and you will get what you want.
