Eight Lucid Dreams in 1 month
Heya!
Im still quite new to the concept of Lucid Dreaming, I've only known about it a couple of months now. When I started learning about it I hardly remembered any of my dreams, only fragments of them. As weeks passed I got better at it and now I'm proud to say that I can remeber one, two or even three dreams per night. However lately, after returning from a fantastic holiday in Australia I can hardly recall any dreams at all. I guess it's just some sort of lack of ambition but I thought I might ask anyway :) During my stay ''down under'' I had eight lucid dreams, all of them quite facinating. I get the impression that Lucid dreams are easier to remember than regular ones, is that true? :). I'm also wondering if having lucid dreams affect your normal dreams in any way?
As for the lucid dreams, it was Awesome! It feels as if bubbles, emerging from your brain fill all your veins and you feel the sensational euforic power. The first time I had a lucid dream was on the airplane from frankfurt to singapore. I fell asleep and I could still hear the engine from the aircraft buzzing in the distance. I was suddenly standing back home in sweden, washing my hands in the sink. I instantly realized that I was dreaming. As I did, I started to levitate like a astronaut. I floated down to my livingroom where all my friends had gathered. I figured that it was the perfect moment to practise realitychecks. I'm using the one where you count your fingers just because it's fun seeing like 13 fingers on each hand :D I didn't get around doing any cool stuff this first time. I woke up shortly after having counted my fingers. It didn't take long until I had my next LD, just about 2 days. This one included flying and meeting interesting people. The more LDs I had the more things I tried. Anyway, I haven't really gotten around reading the different tactics for inducing a LD. I simply realize that I'm dreaming all of a sudden. It seemes to me as if I get lucid when I'm close to waking up. Only once I've done a successfull RC, the others have been quite mysterious. For example, this one dream where I was walking outside my elementary school. I was not lucid at that moment, but then everything went gray and I could feel the world sort of slipping out of my hands. I told my friends I was with in the dream to carry on without me. I sat down and concentrated hard and then everything came back, that's when I realized I was dreaming. It was as if i made the original dream longer and more vivid.
The best way in my opinion to become lucid is to get there through Sleep Paralysis. It's action all the way into the dream and once you're actually in there you realize instantly what's going on. I've had ALOT of sleep paralysis but only recently I was taught that they where a way into LD.
Anyway! Thanks for reading! I'm gonna go read some tutorials, it's about time I got around doing it. :P
