Only lucid in vivid dreams?

Hey everyone, I've been practicing to get lucid for awhile and started a DJ. I remembered 1 or 2 dreams every night throughout july, but noticed they were mostly fragments. I don't remember dreams when I wake up so I have to lay still and try hard. This morning I woke up from a really vivid dream where I immediately recognised two dreamsigns. This is the first time I remember a dream and actually thought I could have been lucid because I spoke to DC and one showed me something to get more aware. Are you only able to get lucid in vivid dreams or are more dreams vivid when you wake up during them. Hope I explained my question well enough. Thanks!

Congrats of recognizing two dream signs, no, the dreams do not have to be especially vivid to get lucid, although it can help. Generally, when you become lucid, the dream does become more vivid, it can get so vivid that the feeling may cause you to get very excited and wake up due to it.

vividness can certainly help but does not guarantee lucidity. Vividness of awareness does however gauruntee lucidity. Namaste.
