Preparing
Hello, I am new to this forum!
I have been trying to lucid dream for a couple of weeks now, and was just wondering one question. Is there any way to prepare physically before a lucid dream? I have been trying to drink some peppermint tea before sleep because it contains no caffeine and is said to be a muscle relaxer. I'm not sure if this could help or not. If anyone has any tips for me it is much appreciated :D

Welcome to DV :)
And hmm there is not a lot of things, aside from supplements.
Drink a lot of water if you want to wake up in the night, or go to the bathroom if you want to sleep better XD just random things like that, that you can do

Hi and welcome to Dreamviews, SaintBurger! :welcome:
From my own experiences, my lucid dreams don't tend to be affected by my physical body that much, ie. how relaxed I am. If I go to bed sick or hungry, I might notice a decrease in recall, but that's about it. Lucidity is more about being aware in the dream, so things that relax your physical body won't actually help you become lucid, but they can definitely help you fall asleep quicker (unless you're trying the WILD technique, in which case peppermint tea, if it makes you sleepy, can also be used as an aid to help you reach sleep paralysis since it helps you relax).
Vitamin B6 is a supplement that can help improve your dream recall and make your dreams more vivid, although (once again, haha) it won't make you lucid. There isn't really a one-step process to attaining lucidity, but you can definitely have a read through the Lucid Aids subforum; there's lots of useful information there, as there is in the Dreamviews Wiki! :)
If you have any other questions or need clarification on something, feel free to post or send me a PM!

Try this. Imagine a little spot of light in your head somewhere. Watch and follow it flow through your brain all over the place. Getting drunk helps too. Seriously, if you follow that little light spot around, you may lucid dream, and you may even go Out of the Body Experience. Try it. For real.

I have really scary dreams when I get drunk... thats why I sorta wanted to start having lucid dreams. That and the recurring dreams that are caused by me overdosing on synthetic cannabis.
