OK so i used to be into LDing but after a while i stopped completely and lost interest. Now i want to begin again. First id like to list what i do every night before sleep.
I usually go to sleep at 11:00 PM Eastern time. I watch TV till about 11:00. After i go to sleep.
Any tips for better recall or anything i should do? for example not watch TV 1 hour before bed?
Basically i want every single tip for dream recall as possible.
Actually recall can be influenced by a variety of factors. The easiest method I've found to keep it high is to write dream journals everyday... that seems to be the most influenctial aspect I've come across... judging by the many people who say the same thing.
You could also try lying in bed right when you wake up, in the same position you were sleeping in. When you give yourself time to relax and not flood our mind with other active thoughts, this tends to help retain the memories you're trying to transition from the dream state to waking.
Well I've read in a few guys that Screens can be stimulating and make you less likely to fall asleep as fast, im not sure that its related to recall per-say, as i think a lot of DV members are on IRC right up until they are about to sleep :cheeky:
The best thing ive found is pure intent and the dedication to write down everything all the time. Don't just wake up and think "that dream wasn't that fun" or "i cba to journal" this is where ive made big mistakes in the past and when you get into that rut, your recall will suffer.

Thanks for the answers guys. I also had another question. I usually do not have very vivid dreams. For example today i was laying in bed trying to remember my dream however i gave up and stood up. I remember my dream all of a sudden. Is there any tips for more vividness?
I'd also like to know what techniques you guys use and the best tutorial for me. I need everything regarding DILD's or WILD's

I've tried DILDing and made a few attempts at WILDing, but haven't gotten very far. Puffin's DILD Guide is really good. To improve recall, she mentions drinking apple juice a few hours before bed, or taking vitamin B6. You should also avoid drinking alcohol, or watching TV or being on the computer right before bed.
As soon as you wake up, stay in bed and don't move too much--just go over the details of your dream in your head, and keep a notepad or something next to your bed, so you can jot down some notes and expand on it later. If you just get up and tell yourself you'll write about it a few minutes later, you could forget some important details.
