Hello
So, I have been on Dream Views for a while without an account, so I decided to make one.
For about a year, I've been trying to lucid dream with very, very few results. I've also kept a dream journal for the last few months. Whenever I even got close, it always went away. But last night, finally, I had a WILD. It was amazing. But, there were two things that I noticed: One was that it only lasted a couple of minutes before I woke up. Thew second was that for short amounts of time I would go blind, and some sound from "the outside" would filter through into my hearing.
I'm pretty sure it only lasted a couple minutes because of how excited I was, but why did I go blind? Thanks in advance :D

Hello, welcome, and congratulations on your first WILD! I would guess that you went blind because you switched between your eyes and your imagination or your waking and dreaming eyes, if you will.

Congrats!!! That's really exciting, I'm still waiting for my first REAL lucid, hahaha. And I'm glad you decided to join the site for real. :) I'm pretty new here too, but it seems to be populated by friendly, helpful people. Good luck with stabilizing your future lucid dreams!

Welcome to Dreamviews!
Congrats on the WILD, and about the blind problem that is just something that tends to happen in Lucid Dreams in my experience. I feel that it is just the dream de-stabilizing, if it happens it is probably a good idea to stabilize if you don't know what that is then look it up in the wiki. Stabilizing is a great tool when Lucid Dreaming
