Hey, welcome to DV! There's a whole lot of resources here, but why don't you have a look at the Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming? It's a guide I wrote that has a basic summary of lucid dreaming, along with a breakdown of all the different techniques, and what you need to get started.

For starters, it's really important to start recording your dreams that you remember each time you wake up, because this helps you get your dream recall up. If your recall is high, you can remember dreams in good detail and won't have to worry about potentially forgetting lucids once you wake up from them. I've been through a few rough patches in terms of recall and had a few lucid dreams during those times; I'd always wake up knowing I had a lucid, but (painfully enough), I couldn't remember what I did in them.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Hello mikhailov305, welcome to DV. I am fairly new here too so the best advice I can give you is to read as much as you can, look at lots of forum threads and participate anywhere you can. Start to get as familiar with this site as you can. The more you are thinking about this site and other LD related resources, the more it will fill your conscious and subconscious thoughts and you will think about it in your dreams. This will help you to DILD in future. I am yet to have a lucid but have already dreamt (non lucid) alot about the topic and feel that I am very close. Best of luck with your endeavours and may you lucid shortly

If your dreaming about the topic it means it has infiltrated your subconscious, sounds to me like your first lucid is right around the corner! Keep it up

      Hello and welcome.

I agree with the others. That's a good beginning.
Give it time, and stray motivated. Then I'm sure you'll get your first LD soon.

Special thanks to Darkmatters for my signature picture.

Welcome . Like some other people said, Puffin's guide is a GREAT way to get you started. I recommend you read over it, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Good luck!
