Ending a dream
yesterday, i just had my very first lucid dream.
after a while, i started to get bored and wanted to end it
i ended it by killing myself (i dont remember how) because i know you can end a dream that way.
i told someone how i ended my dream and they got mad at me and though i was crazy.
does anyone know how to end a dream?
thanks

Huh ??
you got lucid and for the first time, and you was bored ??? and what you woke up yourself ??
Honestly lucid dreams are not for you :)

Congratulations! :)
Bored? How can it be boring, haha?!
When I had a lucid dream as child, it was a nightmare. I became lucid and really wanted to wake up..
I blinked... Didn't worked! I blinked again.. And woke up in my bed. Maybe you should try to blink?
By the way, the kill-thing doesn't always works. Sometimes people just entering a new dream. ;)

it felt rly weird.
since i was a newbie,i felt a bit strange.

All new things feel strange, you just got to get used to it. I walked around and talked to the DCs in the area in my first lucid dream. Remember you can do anything in a dream. Also, this is what all newbies strive for in DreamViews.

Yeah, you can do everything, like Raetin says.
Check out the thread "1000 things to do in a lucid dream!". There's about 2300 ideas. :shadewink:

i need to know how to wake up, do i just say "hey body! wake up!"?

As I said before, try to blink. It works for almost everyone. :)
I haven't heard about it didn't worked, only that some people did it without wanted it, and woke up.

Get creative with ways to wake up. Your expectations will drive the dream. :)
1) Close your eyes and lose all awareness of what's around you. By doing so, you're no longer paying attention to your surroundings, and since most dreams require a certain level of visual attention, keeping your eyes closed will destabilize (and end) the dream.
2) Tell the dream to wake you up. Be very certain that you'll wake up, and say it with confidence. Make sure you're really awake by doing an RC afterwards because you may enter a false awakening.
3) Close your eyes and fall backwards.

sadly though, im kind of scared of trying to wake up.
what if its the middle of the night and that was just a dumb decision.
and when i fall back asleep, it practically having another lucid dream when you could have kept going wth the one you were on

Hey! It is absolutely impossible to get bored in a lucid dream !!!!!
However I got really tired in a lucid dream (with a very low dream control) once, so I went to bed to fell asleep (in the dream) and I woke up (in real life).
If I need to wake up from a dream (I have needed it twice in my life afair), I close my eyes, then I vehemently turn my head and by the end of the move, I open my yes. It works for me. However, I feel really bad after such violent awakening.
