Hey, I almost did it!
Hey all, I'm new here (if not new to lucid dreaming) and I just wanted to say that after reading this site I've come the closest to gaining lucidity in a dream since the one time I've ever done it YEARS ago. I did a reality check in a dream! And though I did conclude it was real life (even though my watch didn't even read real numbers) It was really cool! Any tips on how to recognize dreamsigns in a reality check? (Like the fact that my watch was ever changing bars and lines?) thanks! -Leif902

Hey there! Welcome aboard SS Dream Views :D
I'm so happy for you that you came close to having a lucid. Too bad your reality check attempt failed. It's ok though, it will take practice. Make a habit out of doing reality checks through out the day...like look at your watch every half hour and read and understand the numbers. That way when you do a reality check and see that the numbers are not right you will be able to recognize that you are dreaming.
Also, if you sort of have a feeling that you are dreaming and you pass your first reality check you can always try others...like try to stick your finger through your palm, or try to float, etc.
Anyways, welcome, and hope that helps! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask me or any of the other Dream Guides here.

Thanks alot, I'll make a point of doing reality checks more often. I've only had once lucid dream before so I can't wait untill I can do it again!

Welcome and congrats!
I agree with nina, I would suggest that if you ever perform an RC and something's just not quite right, then you try performing some others as well. When it comes to RC you can never have to many, mostly cause some of them are even fun to perform even as you are certain that you are indeed dreaming
