Noob!
Hey there! I've actually been lucid dreaming since I was six (I'm now 22) but I've always wondered who else out there could do what I can do. Finally, I start researching on the internet and eventually found this fabulous site. I'm very excited to explore this topic with others! I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say anything else in this thread...but yeah, take me under your wing!

Hi Asherem, welcome to Dreamviews!
You have been lucid dreaming since you were six?! I'm guessing you're a natural. then. Do you control your lucids too, or did you just discover you can control your dreams while your lucid on this site? How good is your recall?
Anyway, i'm glad you decided to join! If you have any questions about anything, just send a PM :)

Nice to meet you all! Thank you for being so welcoming!
To answer all of your questions and advice (I will try my best to keep it short):
Mancon: Yes, I can control them, but not all of the time. I'd say that, overall, I am lucid 90% of the time and I control about 30%. That's all estimation though. I was much better at inducing a fully lucid dream that I could control when I was a child. (That's when I would have considered myself a "natural"). I would simply think "Hey, I want to go to that forest again" or something similar before I went to bed and there I'd be. I have no idea what the difference is now. The stress of adulthood I suppose. :( I've tried various techniques to induce more control, but it seems like the harder I try, the harder it is. Hence why I am on this site. I'm wondering if there were things I did before bed when I was younger that made it easier. But, the good thing is that it still happens pretty frequently and I've trained myself to do a lot of cool things like flying, teleportation, freezing time, being invisible, etc. Also, my recall has always been great, which makes me very lucky.
Matte87: Dream journals have always been the bane of my existence. They are never as good written down! But, I will list some pretty important ones I've had in the past which have kind of shaped my whole lucid dreaming experience...
Arch: My main struggle right now is feeling my body in sleep paralysis. I'm claustrophobic, so this has put a big stopper on my fun. I read somewhere that rubbing your palms together helps, but I haven't really been able to explore this. Any other tips?

Welcome to DV! Sounds like you're a natural. ;)
My sure-fire way to break SP is to focus on shaking my head. Unfortunately, it wakes me up completely, so if you still want to keep dreaming, it may not help.
