a quick hello
Hey fellow dreamers! I'm new to this site, but have been interested in lucid dreaming for over 20 years. As a young teen I started reading books on dream interpretation & lucid dreaming. It's all so fascinating. I would love to have more control over my dreams, having been plagued by nightmares since childhood. My dreams are very powerful & prevent me from ever feeling rested no matter how much sleep I get. I am cursed (or gifted, depending how u look at it) with an overactive mind that does not sleep. Looking forward to learning and interacting thru this site!

Hey, welcome to the site!
It's awesome you found out about lucid dreaming as a young teen, and have stuck with it for twenty years! I agree, it is very interesting. It's pretty common to have a ton of nightmares in your childhood. I myself, was plagued with a recurring nightmare dream character for about ten years. Dreamviews will definitely be able to help with having better dream control, and getting lucids more often! Glad you decided to join :) If you have any questions you are welcome to send me a PM or ask on the forum! :D

I hope you start a dream journal to share some of your favorite dreams. Don't be shy. Everyone around here appreciates good advice if you have any special tricks you have picked up over the years.

You're not the only one with an active mind~ I have one too. If you haven't already, check out binaural beats. Drinking a relaxing tea such as chamomile along with melatonin helps me calm down a bit before trying to sleep. And stay away from stimulants like caffeine, or even light, hours before bed time. Best of luck!
