Greetings
Hi, I'm MeetAtLake. I registered on this forum because I have held great interest in dreams over the last year and a half. Somewhat recently, I had heard about lucid dreaming which sounded very cool and I eventually stumbled here.
I already have a dream journal of my own, and I've been keeping record of dreams in there, but I haven't been very diligent as far as using it (only 8 dreams in over a year). Most of the things I recall from dreams only little fragments, and some dreams seem pointless in jotting down. Should I record all of the dreams I have, no matter how little I actually remember? Also, should I make use of the Dream Journal on the website? Thank you!

Welcome to DreamViews. :) Yes, record everything. When I wake up in the night or morning, I jot down key notes of my dreams on a pad. I type them up later in full description. So try doing that. Even if you record a seemingly pointless or lame dream, it adds to your ability to recall. Definitely make use of the dream journal if you'd like. It's a nice place to store and talk about your dreams. If you feel they are too personal, you can use the Waking Journal which is private.

:welcome:
Yeah, I would definitely try and write down as much as possible. I find that writing everything down will help your recall enormously, I remember when I used to go from not writing things to writing everything down, including fragments. In just a few days my dreams were really, really vivid and my recall was excellent.
The learning curve for recall is the path you choose. :)

Hey MeetAtLake, welcome to Dreamviews :D :D :D
Glad you heard about lucid dreaming and somehow stumbled upon this forum! When you first are trying to have lucid dreams, yes I recommend you write down any little detail or feeling in your dream journal. Dreamviews has an official Dream Recall Tutorial you should read. Your recall will start going up, i'm sure! Also, I recommend you do take advantage of the dream journal system here on the site. It is great! If anything, just post your favorite dreams in it. Hope to see you around more! Good luck! :)

Hi there my friend :)
Glad you've joined DV. I hope you have a fun stay here. It's good that you already have your dream journal. A real-life or digital dream journal will do since their purpose is the same. I suggest you read the Dream Recall Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views to improve your dream recall. If you do have some questions, feel free to ask by either posting a thread or going to the chatroom, or even messaging the Dream Guides here in DV. Hope this helps :)
