A step in the right direction?..

Ok since I have been trying to increase my awareness in dreams and recall them afterwards thats the 2nd night in succession I have dreamed about the situation, the first night i remember looking at my hands and asking myself if i was controlling any of this.

Last night seemed a bit stranger, I have been using binaural beats and iso tones on my iphone as i went to sleep, last night i used thunder but at some point in dream I remember vividly thinking "i cant hear this properly so i looked at my iphone (which was white now,mine is green normally) so i played with the ear buds on it and plugged them back in and remember hearing rain or a sea shore playing through them and realised this wasnt right so i unplugged the jacks from my iphone the fact that my iphone now had TWO audio jacks was confusing me.. i woke up :((

Well done, I think this could be classed as a lucid dream, you started realising something wasn't right which is the first sign of gaining awareness in a dream. It doesn't matter if you didn't do a reality check because you were questioning your reality, so well done there.
I think you must have gotten excited when faced with all these random dreamsigns, don't worry about it, most people wake up right away in their first experiences of lucid dreams. Just keep at it, because whatever your doing, it's right! ;)

Thanks for the response, good to know that i'm on the right path at least. that whole episode seemed to take ages as i was questioning everything and it all spawned by being in a chinese takeaway and showing a friend something on the menu which was clearly a "pan curry" lol.. this is when i thought wait a minute.. lol

It sounds like you are getting really close! Just keep at it, and stay aware of thing around you throughout the day. Next time you think something is strange or off just stop for a moment and look around you. Is your iPhone in your dreams often? It could be a dream sign! Good luck tonight :)
