      Dream recall isn't improving?

Ok before o learned about LD'ing I RARELY ever had a dream, like maybe 5-8 times a year, after a month of LD training, my dream count was 1 dream every 3-5 days, it's been about 2 1/2 months since I started but it Isnt getting any better, and it's recommended that I can remember at least 1 dream every night, no matter how hard I try, I set alarm clocks, I keep thinking to myself that I want to remember my dream before I sleep, but I can never get my rate up, my rate went higher for a while when I learned about drinking a ton of water before you go to sleep, but now whenever I do it, I don't wake up in the middle of the night remembering my dream, I would wake up at normal morning and I don't have any urge to go to the bathroom, is this because my body has built an "imunity" to it or has my body started making a habit of it and I'm not fully awake when I get up to go to the bathroom?

      Hello Lucidpplz

      Thanks for the post.

First off (and you may already know this), you dream everynight regardless, it is just a case of remembering what you have dreamed. As with anything worthwhile Lucid Dreaming takes Patience and effort, don't be disheartened with slow progress because things will get better with persistance, The man thing is you are here and you WILL succeed.

I don't know if others will agree, but sometimes it is good to back off the rituals of alarm clocks and mantras for a couple of nights to reset yourself, this is how I get out of a dry spell, But after that just keep trying and remain optimistic, Good things come with time and Lucid Dreaming is a very VERY good thing.

      Hello,

Recall is the foundation of lucid dreaming, you can't know if you have had a lucid dream if you don't remember it. I find when my recall gets poor (it varies from great to terrible) then I will take a week or two out of lucid dreaming and just focus on remembering my dreams, this only has to be done about every few months, but it is really worth it. There is nothing worse than attempting to LD and not even get non lucids, which can be very fun as well.
It may seem like you can't dream, but you can so perceiver, when you get up in the morning lay there for 5 minutes, trying to remember a dream and anything you remember, write it down.

      Hope it helped

Hi there my friend. I suggest you take in foods that are rich in Vitamin B6(one excellent example is Peanuts). It's supposed to increase you dream recall. And have you tried not-moving when you wake up in the morning? Whenever you wake-up, remain still and that's the time you attempt to recall your dream. Hope this helps

Most of this stuff I already figured out by myself, but thanks still, no one answered my question, has the water drinking trick a habit that I have to stop for a while or is it something else?

How much water are you drinking? It could be you're not drinking enough water to make you actually get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
