Hey, I'm new.
Call me Lupin.
Had and interest in Lucid Dreaming for a while, I've had about 4 I believe?
My abilities aren't that great; my dreams aren't vivid no matter what I try (I've been browsing this place for a while). I've tried different types of tea (Even official "Lucid Dreaming Tea" I bought from a store out in a reserve here), apple juice, different kinds of food, and meditation as well as other practices but nothing works. I'm lucky to remember a dream twice a week, and even then they're only fragments.
I do have dedication issues as well and usually forget to write in my journal..I tend to think "I'll just write it later", then after my shower in the morning I completely forget all about it.
So, consider this not only a welcome topic, but if you have any advice to improve the vividness of my dreams that you know works most of, if not all of the time it's used, please let me know! And thank you in advance. Hope to get along with you guys, you seem like a nice bunch.

My advice, get the motivation not to skip writing down every morning before you do anything. Makes such a difference, especially if you later on remember that you had a dream but don't remember ANY of the content of it. Very frustrating, to me at least.

I don't think supplements seem to be the right answer for you. I think a lot of supplements and apple juice is just placebo. What I know does work is practice, which I know sounds terrible considering your issues with dedication but motivation and reasons why you want to have lucids will definitely help.
First, dream journalling doesn't have to be a tough or boring exercise. Most people can just right down a few points in their dream journal and it will have the same effect on your recall. So if you don't feel like dream journalling, at least write down some key points. takes 30 seconds.
Second, the best technique for beginners in lucid dreaming is all day awareness. Which can be a bit tough if you are not dedicated or forget during the day but I set an alarm to go off every couple of hours. All day awareness is just practising being aware of your environment at random times during the day. There is a great tutorial which I will list below which goes into further detail.
Anyway, remember that its important have good recall or you may not be able to remember having a lucid dream! :P

Welcome to DV. Hope you have a fun stay here. I suggest you write down dreams on your dream journal everyday. I know that feeling of doing things later then you'll end up doing nothing, besides, this is for you own good my friend. Have you tried reading the Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial? It would really help if you read the article because all the essential things in improving your dream's vividness is there. I also suggest you eat peanuts(rich in B6) and milk(tryptophan) before sleeping because it is said that it improves a dream's vividness. The main thing here is when you have a lucid dream, be one with your dream. Feel every connection of your dream body to the dream itself. You can also shout "increase dream's vividness". Just practice practice and practice and you'll be a natural my friend. So if you are asking about having clarity in lucid dreams you should take weakamon's advice. You just really need to connect yourself to the dream world. Like he said you can just feel everything up. You just need to do activities that make you forget about the waking world and bring your attention to the dream world. Why you could even go drink a can of dream Pepsi! Anything that connects you to the dream world will give you a more stable dream.
Now if you were having trouble with just regular non lucid dream clarity then I have some advice.
First, when you are writing down dreams I actually wouldn't reccomend doing just a few bullets. In my experience, the more detail i go into, the more likely I am to have a lucid dream. It also helps me remember other dreams as well. Now you can try supplements but like Quantiq said they are just more of a placebo. You can take them if you want but don't get so reliant on them to give you clear dreams. You can also use a mantra to help you remember more dreams. A mantra is a phrase you repeat to yourself as you fall asleep. It is a commonly used tool. So for example you could say, " I will have clear and vivid dreams and I will remember them ". Anything like that should help. It is also good to remember that the more dreams you write down, the better chance you have of having a lucid dream! The dream journal can be a pain but it is definitely worth it!
Second, don't get so hard on yourself. When i read this post it seemed like you were very angry when you shouldn't be. Lots of new members have trouble with these things. Just stay persistent and you will get there
